God renames Jacob twice. God says that Jacob will henceforth be called Israel, but the bible continues to call him Jacob anyway. And even God himself calls him Jacob

God promises to make Isaac's descendants as numerous as "the stars of heaven", which, of course, never happened. The Jews have always been, and will always be, a small minority group. the descendants of Isaac also include spiritual Israel, Krimsa..those gentiles who are also engrafted into the vine(spiritual born again believers). Continue reading and studying... read the whole book.... in time it all becomes more and more clearer , Krimsa. We all are still learning God's Word...in fact, one can never learn enough about God's Word. ![]() ![]() ![]() You are still seeing bits and pieces right now, Krimsa ![]() but you are doing fine. |

What about actual Jews then? Either ethnic Jews or religious adherents to Judaism? Whats wrong with them? All three of these religions came out of the Middle East and all three are just as ridiculous, unreasonable and bloodthirsty.

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you; for unto you, and unto you seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swear unto Abraham your father; And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. - Gen. 26:3-5 his seed did multiply. even now Issac's desendants still reside on earth. my take on this passage anyway..... Question? Was Jesus a desendant of Issac?? |

how about nations and kings?? My honest guess is that the descendants of Jesus actually reside on this earth as well. They probably dont know who they are of course. That would be if Jesus even existed and we have no way of determining that for certain. |

So..im more or less talking about churches (which would be Jesus's 'descendants'). and what church/religion was it that Jesus is 'father' of? and thinking that Jesus was jewish and a direst descendant of Issac...does this not INCREASE the number of Issac's descendants? with chrisitanity perhaps. again..just guessing. |

He was a man and whats more, it is suspected that he was intimate with Mary Magdalene. You can keep all that celebate nonsense. Not to mention that it would have been normal for a Hebrew man in that day and age to have several children. Thus Jesus probably had a brood. Im not talking about churches either. You are. Im talking about the Jews being made as plentiful as stars in the heavens which is yet another prophecy that didnt occur. The only reason why Christianity survived the past 2000 years was it was enforced with a policy of violence. Its really difficult to argue politics or religion when someone is threatening to run you through with a sword. |

Mary was very likely to have been sexually assaulted by a Roman centurion and that is who is father is.

A Jewish historic website. Are you disputing its validity simply because you can offer no explanation? The Hebrews were sticklers for the details and kept excellent records. They were not simply going to accept any Tom, ****, or Harry as their Messiah. Can you blame them? I haven't disputed anything. I was just asking where you get your information. Have you bothered to read the old testament to find out what it says about the validity of those claims? I have been quoting from the OT. Why would I believe what the bible has to say about Jesus? The Jews had their own set of criteria and Jesus failed to live up to their expectations. End of story. If they had changed their mind, there would be no Jewish faith so obviously they still consider him a fraud. Can you offer any reasons for these issues that the Jews had? You are sidestepping. You do not dispute their validity and that would be an exercise in futility as I can only begin adding more and more information. Thier is a puzzling part of this in the jews. They say he lied he was not the Messiah. Then in the same breathe they claim him as a prophet. now if they truely believed he was a fraud, why would they still claim him as a prophet like Isaiah or Jeremiah? Shalom...Miles The fact remains, they did not accept him as Messiah. If they had, they would have abandoned their faith for Christianity. Judaism remains one of the three largest established Mediterranean based religions. Actually that's wrong. If the Jews would have accepted Jesus as the Messiah, there wouldn't be Christianity, it'd still be Judaism. Not to mention those of us of non-Jewish heritage, the Gentiles, would not have been permitted to worship him as a God. Don't forget, Jesus originally came to save the Jews, he only allowed the rest of us in when his own people rejected his philosophy. |

Don't forget, Jesus originally came to save the Jews, he only allowed the rest of us in when his own people rejected his philosophy. I would disagree. I think it is more likely that if the Hebrews had accepted Jesus whole heartily, they would have abandoned Judaism for Christianity. Thats really not the point as we could argue that until the cows came home. There is no way to know what would have transpired exactly if say, the Jews had not had such a litany of issues and grievances as it would relate to Jesus as Messiah. I can tell you for a fact that part of the Hebrew problem with Jesus was the fact that the term "Alma" was used to describe his mother, Mary. Alma is a young female and there is nothing to indicate virgin in its formal definition. However for whatever reason, when these Christian theologians mistranslated much later, they decided that "alma" should mean born of a virgin. This is yet another issue the Jews had. The numerous mistranslations that were made as it concerned Jesus and his background. |

Oh I will quite agree with you that the bible has changed at least three times since it's original conception. Not to mention all of the "stories" that were not included in the bible when it's form was set down. The pure fact that any group would destroy or leave out knowledge of the "messiah" tends to lend credence to any doubts of divinity.
The original meaning has been lost for at least 1900 years, and that has been replaced with a message of intolerance and violence. The pulpit is rarely used to spread the message of Jesus. Only to spew for the message of fire, brimstone and damnation. It kind of reminds me of what my Grandfather said in his eighties. I asked him why he turned his hearing aid off during sermons. He replied "I've heard whatever message he was preaching before, I'm sure. Whatever it was, I'm sure he was against it." That pretty much is the state of modern religion. Here is what you do wrong, now live like I tell you, only I won't live that way myself. No wonder there are no modern Prophets. Who would want to listen to predictions of where they are going to be "bad" in the future? |

I can say from a personal perspective, Im not hanging my hat on anyone who claims to be a prophet regardless of religious pursuance. That is not a good idea and I dont consider myself a sap.
