After being married for 21 wonderful years, a marriage that ended way too soon...I find it hard to be in this dating thing.
I guess I lived a protected life.
Anything that turns me off really quick is a line of crap or lies and it seems that its a lot of what one hears anymore. I find it disgusting and it makes me not want to even want to date. I know there are good ones out there somewhere but I don't know whether I can or want to wade thru all the crap to get there.

Does anyone else feel that way? I just want to live a happy relaxing life. Maybe I just don't get it..lol

Yeah it sucks doesn't it? I guess I'm just too honest and I can't understand why other people can't be honest and up front. Silly me...I guess. sad2

I know exactly what you mean. You don't know who to trust.frustrated About two years ago I started dating this guy and he was great. Met his family and really had a great time. This went on for three months. We went trail riding together, even went on an overnite trail ride. Went over to ride at the farm where my horse was at and found out he was headed to Virginia Beach to get married.brokenheart He had been out with me the day before. mad I guess I was a very special understanding person. Blah! Blah! Blah! explode
Now, I only want a friend.

There's a lot of heart break out there. But don't let it get to ya. Heh, if you fall off a horse you get right back on right? Just make sure you got a good grip on the reins next time and the cinch strap is tight.

At my age now when I hit the ground I just lay there and moan for a long time before I even try to move. I have to take inventory to make sure every thing still moves. Then I figure out how far I am from home and if I can limp that far or do I really need to get back in the saddle to get home. Then after three or four days I'll get back in the saddle.

Well yeah, it may take a little time, what doesn't at this age, but you do get back on, right?

Thats terrible. There's just too many loser/users out there. It used to be a person was good as their word. Now...its just plain scary. I can't understand how anyone could have any respect for themselves in acting that way.

Yea, it's really tough to break through all the C. and get to the real person. Lots of players out there. Gotta be careful. If you find any honest, down to earth guys in the PA area let me know.

What I have found online and or dating Hmmmmmmm. Scammers, married men lieing saying they're single or filing or filed. Men reading I'm widow so think I have a paid off home or insurance money. Once they hear no money work in a restaurant no more email :) And the one that just want a FB. Well after awhile you learn to figure them out quick. And to all you great guys I'm sure they're are some just like the women on here with allot of heart. I say never give up but wait for it to happen. Yeah 30 years has passed by and yeah what is left seems pretty bleak. But I'm sure there are some good guy who are widowed or wives have left them. And we all have been hurt and hard to trust. I've made so many friends in the last year at least that is a good thing love my gal pals on here. So there is a blessing. It sure does toughen you up a bit. I guess we have to to survive out there.
