In discussion with a friend who was at the grocery store, she said "boy toilet paper is expensive"

We are trying to figure out if she uses too much in her house or I use too little.

How many people are in your household?

Are they boys or girls?

How old are they?

How much time do they spend at the house...ie do they work away from home, go to school, spend time at friends or relatives houses?

We would like to compile a uniform standard on what is the correct amount of TP used in a household...

I go through 40 rolls a week, and it is just me.

No I'm serious, I have 2 females in the house. We use 1 to 2 rolls a week, she has a female and a male and she uses 3 rolls a week, I told her it was too much and she claimed that I just don't pee enough...

Lmao girl ya something else actually it is just me at home and well I go through maybe a roll a week and I'm home every night and all weekend. Now if my son visits several days in the week heck he adds another roll to it and I use the 3ply TP. Go figure men are just full of it I tell ya

Okay, but if you are being scientific, we need to get into sheets per roll, big or little roll, absorbency tests, whether or not the persons are using TP for the schnoz as well as the bottom, etc.....
I'm at this time using Angel Soft double roll size, have 2 individuals in the household and we go through almost 2 rolls per week, but use tissues for the schnoz.

Oh, both females here!! 48 & 13. I'm an at home person; she goes to school during the week.

You are a genious honey.... I think I need to refine my scientific research to include the absorbancy and even the brands uses...

I use Cottonelle with the puppies and paw prints on it to show my daughter how much to use so she only uses 4 2 ply sheets.

I am the other one, the person who said TP was 'spensive!

My son and I use about 2.5 to 3 rolls every week. I use less when he isn't with me, obviously. We also use it for tissue paper and I use it for my makeup .... eye make-up removal, lipstick blotting, etc.

Does that seem like a lot?

I use a roll about every two weeks unless Lisa is here. Then it's a roll a day

but I love her so I just buy extra before she gets here

ok.. ive got 5 in my house..
me, 2 daughters, 2 sons. but only one toilet trained..
we are there quite a bit.. almost all the time when the kids arent in school. we use cottonelle.. and we go thru about a roll every other day or every 2.5 days.. so im about at 3.5 rolls a week..

however.. i do have one daughter who still cant grasp the concept of "wipe after EVERY use!!" or it would be one roll every other day..

If you search 'septic tank' on the internet you will find that it is recommended to pump out your septic tank every 2-3 yrs. More frequently if there are more women than men in the household because women use more TP than men.

I just dig a new hole every couple of years and move the pipe over

Yeah well it was all new to me too when I moved out here . And 'well water' too, clothes get a funky color sometimes, lots of iron and sediments around here.

No, I grew up with septic systems and one-ply Scott tissue. Ouchy.

I'm thrilled with being able to use two-ply stuff and not dump all the stuff down the drain my dad used to make me do, that stuff you buy for septic tanks....

So I know both set-ups.
