"Checking out" as in "noticing" is normal and it wouldn't bother me. But, if you feel the need to tell me how hot she is I will have a problem with it.

Nope, as long as you're not obviously oogling every hottie that walks by its cool. You have to know how to A: be discreet and polite B: have appropriate timing. If we're having a tender moment in a cozy corner of a restraunt and you drop your attention from me to the skanky waitress who's skirt was just slightly shorter than was professional looking.. we're going to have a problem.

It's only human nature to notice the opposite sex. However, if I'm with a guy and they're staring at other women I have a problem. Should always be considerate of the one you are with.

Haha, though a smart man who is caught looking too intensely should reply with something of this nature: "Oh, I was just thinking how something like what she's wearing would look so much better on you then it does her." or your better bet (b/c what she's wearing might be really skanky...lol) even if its a bald face lie and I know it...lol "You're so much prettier then her"
