I'd have to see it to believe it. Just doesn't really seem possible to me.

Some say it's actually caused by a slow burn initiated by certain alcoholic compounds (perfume, etc.)- the fire slowly melts fat deposits in the body, which become flammable, resulting in what is frequently referred to as "spontaneous combustion".

But who really knows what causes that stuff.

There are no medically recorded incidents of spontaneous combustion to my knowledge. It's all just an urban legend. Now I'm gonna go finish my pop rocks and wash it down with a nice cold Coke.

Only when I see it on the unexplained shows. I love unsolved mysteries.

I think the Gremlins are the cause if you want to know the truth!

since there are documented cases, I would at least find it difficult to not believe in the possibility.

You scared me with the alcoholic compounds until i read (perfume, etc.)! If drunks spontaneously combusted it would definitely be on mythbusters or local news by now! Tonight we have another sad story, in downtown (wherever you live). Two local bars that were engulfed in flames earlier today just after happy hour. The victims names cannot yet be released, etc...

Really? There are medically proven cases of spontaneous combustion? Because I've never heard of them.

I said documented cases, not "medically proven". There are "documented cases" of vampyrism, doesn't mean there is "proof" vampyres exist.

Hence the word "possibility".
