I always have a book going. Leave it on my nite table. I try to read myself to sleep everynite.
When done im gone in 30 secs. No problem.
Currently reading "Sandstorm" by James Rollins.
Read a few of his others as well.
I almost always lean towards Action/adventure/mystery novels.

I read everynight before I go to bed. Right now I am reading "Emma's Secret" by Barbara Taylor Bradford. I usually go to Goodwill and get a bunch of books and load my bookcase so I can pick up a book when I want to read. When I finish with these books I take them to the local nursing home in Chesterfield. I enjoy reading, it is a passion. Right now my bookcase is running low, time to make another stop at Goodwill.

Read myself to sleep many times. Have to have a book with me for reading/waiting for anything, but especially the bus. Reading a novel called The Liar's Diary.... Author a 3 time Pushcart nominee (hats and horns) a psycholocical mystery..dark truths et al. Got it at such a deal Border's buy 1 paperback at $3.99, 2nd one free.
Love legal thrillers, mysteries the most...Mostly, for me, its got to ring true, a story that seems like it could have happened

Well...the award sounded funny to me, it seems like she has written short stories, poetry, blogs and this is her first novel...

I usually buy 99 Centers at Goodwill.
I recycle my paperbacks at the public library, or when I'm feeling lazy put them in a bag a leave them out where people can see them when they dump there things at the trash/re-cycle room
Splurges are best sellers at Costco...$4.99 insteady of 7.99 and up

I read all the time. Right now I'm working at finishing a book called Hope by Mary Ryan and right after that I will be reading A death in White bear Lake with plans to read White Oleander and in between several books of poetry I picked up while in Seattle.

I sure hope passes to the mountain lakes hurry and open up so I can head up to my favorite spot to sit and read. Anyone wanna join me?

I love to read. But I can't do it at night, cause it doesn't help me sleep. In fact, it keeps me awake.

The only problem I have though is I can have a book done in 1-2 days, so the excitement doesn't last long.

And I'll read just about any book as long as it's not one of those cheesy romance novels.

If no one here has read "The Kite Runner" Or "The Road" I highly recommend them

I do read a lot, and my interests are varied.
From classics like Jane Austen and and Charlotte Bronté, over crime (Patterson, Kellerman, Connelly, and others) to the Irish Authors that I have lately discovered.
I have over 500 books and I'm building a data base on my PC.
I gave about 100 away to Oxfam, books I didn't like and wouldn't read again.

I'll be waiting to see what you thought.

I also am an avid reader, and had accumulated over three thousand books. Mostly sci fi, and adventure. I donated most of them this fall to the local library, and goodwill. I kept my favorites, and the classics for myself. I have started reading books from a 200 yr. old family farm recently sold. The writers from the early, and late 1800's have quite a different style. Many have lithograph prints covered with tissue paper. Handwritten signatures in many, peciled prices for hardcover books 5-15 cents!

I am a very advid reader. I love reading all kinds of books. If the spike my interest then I'm hooked.

I have a habit of picking up a book, then getting interested in the subject and getting as many books as I can about that subject until I get bored with it. Right now I'm on my 3rd book about Bob Dylan. Before that I read 5 straight about the Civil War.

I love Robert Heinlein. I have all of his books and have reread them all many times.

I think it's an awesome idea! But I've seen people try to get a thread like that started and it didn't get really far.

So how do you start a thread like that, and keep people's interest?

I read alot as well. Especially now that I am laid off. Sci fi, mysteries,thrillers, and self help.
