my childhood household was a quiet, serene bubble of catholic education and conservative morals.

the family was the world. and because of this i am smart, in shape, and confused.

never thought for myself until i was 19.

and ever since then ive been confused.

I remember a lot of fighting amongst the adults. I just stayed out of it. I was outside a lot or in my room.

Definitely "Leave It To Beaver" Mom did not work outside the home and dinner was on the table when Dad got home. They have been married for 53 years. Still in love- no fights in our house- well at least none that we heard. It was a nice way to grow up.

I had a great up bringing....My Dad raised me and my brother with strict discipline and endless love and compassion. We were dirt poor but, I could not have asked for a better upbringing.

Fighting was absolutely forbidden.....but, when your family runs a fighting school and everyone is good at fighting...it made sense....save the fighting for the gym.

Hell, if not worse.

I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of my "family" life.
