HI

I honestly can't see where just because I participate in conversations on a forum posting or that those who do post will change me?.. There just isn't that kind of influence here!

I have said this many times, and this seems appropriate... If you take the time, to really listen to others...and consider their opinions, or why they have those opinions, and you can remain open minded...several things can happen. It can reinforce your own opinion, reconsider your stance, or sometimes...may actually change your mind. If we take the time, there are a lot of life's lessons to be learned. I think that when we close that door, then we eliminate a lot of resources, that could, in fact be beneficial. Some of the smallest details, can be one of the biggest learning experiences. We can either choose to grow, or we can remain as we are. |

Actually I have in some areas for now I look at things in a much different way. Due to talking to those that have dealt with life threaten diseases and the whole time they still stay upbeat about life.
Sad to say one of those members(nascarcutey) was at the end of beating her battle with cancer and had her life took away from her by a drunk driver. So yes I do tend to see things a bit different for no matter how hard things may get in life I have to be thankful for what I do have. No matter how bad life gets someone else has it worse. ![]() |

Yes, I've changed, at least my perspective has, not just from being here but my forum experience overall, both from the words here and from meeting people. I'm more analytical, more insightful, more skeptical. I don't just accept things at face value, but look beyond. I'm more understanding, more tolerant and I have much better ability to recognize BS

We can either choose to grow, or we can remain as we are. Very well said, and I agree. I have grown with every interaction with every person I have met, even if just a little. On this club I have been involved in many conversations and I have learned a lot and changed my opinion and my attitude about many things. It does not take much to change a person if they are open for change. To be stuck in a rigid state of mind I think is a stubborn point of view. Some people may feel if they change their mind that they would have to admit to themselves or others that they were wrong about something. That is just pride and it will stunt your spiritual and mental growth. In my search for truth I promised myself to always consider all information and search for reason, agenda, motive, etc. in all information I encounter and if that information fits into the picture of my current world view and makes sense, then it is seriously considered and put in that place until better information can replace it. Yes I have learned; and in learning, I have changed. I am still me, but I become a different person with every day that passes. Every moment of my life is a spiritual awakening. ![]() |
