I often question my profession, do I really do anything? Then i remind myself that I am that damn good and have an excellent record of getting people okay enough to work, not commit re-offenses and go to the hospital less often; all of which I believe saves society in general money, etc.

Regardless what profession one may have it may make a difference on the income that person has. But........in no way does it make that person any better then the next person.noway

Garbage men are looked at with a turned up nose and have heard others say they would never do that job. Does anyone have a clue what they make shshhs some make really good money. I promise you one thing that is a profession that we could not in any way do without. Could you even get a image what this world would look and smell like if we did not have those that pick up and dispose of all the garbage we get rid of?ill

As far as doctors ect yeah they do make the money but there are many other jobs that make money.

But now as far as prestige or looking up to the person most must admit those within the Medical Field we do look at them different. It is not due to the money they make but for what they do when saving lives that is a very important.

But as far as the person per-say it does not make them any better then the next person.

I treat everyone the same. I don't look down on anyone for what their profession is nor do I look up to others. We all have a role in how this world evolves.

Yeah people would be surprised what others throw away I have seen that up close company I worked for had a clean up business that cleaned up around the new homes as they were being built. It amazed me the things they threw away not to mention what I have seen people put out to the curb cause they don't want it anymore.noway

Hey! I'll have you know my aunt always said my great grandfather was a peer of the realm and left it all behind to marry my grandmother, who was a peasant, which would make me only half peasant.

But, my aunt always did have a problem with the truth. I got to read a copy of my great grandfather's diary. He talked about being an apprentice to a cobbler and nothing at all about all of the peer of the realm stuff.

So, okay. I guess am a peasant after all.

Quacks, hacks, and cracker jacks. I never go to a sawbones unless it's absolutely necessary, and that ain't too often. It's the hypochondriacs that always have to go into the doctor's office every time they have a fart crossways that keep them in business most of the time.

Look, Utopia could actually become reality if all you people would simply acknowledge my absolute superiority and bow to my every whim.

See? It ain't rocket science.

The more I learn about myself, the more I come to understand, we are all unique... everyone of us...the whole lot....pretty unique, huh?

That's kind of humbling for me...I have just ended a friendship that has cost me greatly... I worked for a friend...her daughter and mine are friends...for a time I helped out her husband at night with his cleaning contract business, as well, to take the pressure off him..

She has been displaying behaviours that don't sit well with me.... her denial of her behaviours...her sheer and absolute violent denial of her behaviours...is what caused me to end my friendship with her. She is lying to me... that's fine, isn't the first time, won't be the last time someone lies to me....however friends don't judge....and I have, harshly.

I ended the friendship because I was judging her behaviours.

And as a consequence lost my job...and I suspect my daughter's friendship with hers has become very strained.

What does this have to do with the OP?

I treat my 'neighbour' with the same respect I give to myself.

Honesty. (even when it hurts)

That's my person Utopia.

Jess...friends do judge....we don't care what total strangers think about us....but, we care what our friends think...

at least around here, that is how it works.

Sometimes just letting your friend know tht you see something bad is the exact thing that breaks that pattern. It has for me. When a complete stranger thinks I am a d*ck....I don't care. When my friends say.."You are being a d*ck"..then I step back and re-evaluate what I am doing.

I agree Krupa, some of us respect our friends that much, we do take stock of what they are saying...

This woman is having an affair... her husband thinks he is a shallow insecure mongrel for asking her, to the point of nervous breakdown... the affair is with a long term friend of mine, who I worded up months ago, about the damage it will cause a family...for him to really think about the others who get caught in the cross fire... if they both feel that strongly, then fess up, and see what they have in the harsh light of day.

I haven't wanted to judge, people can't help who they fall in love/lust with... they can help acting on it though...

They decide to deny, to lie, they decide to act...

I judged her very harshly, and it doesn't fit my personal code.ohwell

Unemployment is a fascinating thing.... more time to surf, and mow my lawns, and ponder how I might house my family... maybe I can get paid to surf?
