In this world of negativity and strife...
What are some things that just make you smile? For me it's the little things like: The carefree giggle of a child Laughing until you snort Wrap around porches Porch swings Slow dancing in the kitchen just because you can The night before the first day of vacation The pitter pat that your heart does when you see that the one you love is calling you Lying on a blanket in the grass just talking or watching the clouds go by The first blooms of spring Old fashioned tire swings Picnic in the woods The laughter that comes after stopping the tears of a child Holding hands The first kiss Star gazing Getting a card or letter in the mail A hug from my Mom Licking the frosting off a cupcake The twinkle in the eye of a couple that has forgotten there was life before their love existed Rainbow sherbert on a hot summer day Bubble baths Love letters Talking for hours about nothing and everything The first blooms of romance The tickle of grass on your bare feet Claw foot tubs Little baby kisses goodbye Long winter nights Snuggling up on a rainy day with the one I love Saying I Love You for the first time Sunday afternoon drives with no location in mind Knowing that someone is thinking of you Kittens playing Slow summer days Going fishing, but not caring if you catch anything The first sighs of passion Snowball fights The lake/river in the summer A warm fireplace to snuggle by in winter The smell of spring rain Laughter through tears |
