so do you guys buy home made stuff?

i mean i am a crafty chick but i want to start sellin it.. but i dont like the whole etsy situation. it makes me feel inadequate. HAH i have short crafters syndrome HAHA

anyway do you ever find yourself buying DIY stuff?

yes, especially with this economy i find i'm buying DIY more often. just removed wallpaper and painted a room, probably would have hired someone in the past. what is etsy??

etsy is a DIY sellers market. its like ... shopping all diy. its for crafters and artists to sell their things :)

etsy is a DIY sellers market. its like ... shopping all diy. its for crafters and artists to sell their things :)

I'll be yer husband! Not only am I rather artistic & crafty...I can do construction, some electrical, tile work, etc... You should see me in a tool belt! smitten

I make many my self... But i will buy enquie things that I see at a festival or craft show. flowerforyou

I would give it a try. On a scale I could afford. Crafts tend to go in cycles of popularity and marketability. Make a display portfolio of what you have made and want to sell could help. Do your homework before you get into deep. Good Luck.

Go for it! I've sold my crafty crap on ebay and a friend put some of my stuff on Etsy for me as well. I did pretty well on both.

I love etsy and have my own shop on there. It is a super simple site and there are lots of nice people and articles to help you out.

I buy handmade as often as I can.

crochet knit sew. :) typical stuff. nothin too fancy. i'd like to get my mom to do pottery again. she was fantastic 35 years ago :)

I had a friend who made really cool clocks out of expensive African hardwood

he decided to put em on the web and within a week he had orders for 600 of em. He had to take it off the web cause he couldnt keep up
