Topic: Palin Resigning As Alaska Governor | |

she has reasons...but she doesn't owe anyone an explanation..... Yeah, she does. She owes it to the people that voted for her. not really....it's a job...if someone decides to quit...that's between her and her family. not too mention even if she gave a reason (which I believe she did) things like this thread would happen |

being involved in a prostitution ring is an acceptable reason to resign, but persuing a higher calling(a personal matter) is not....????

I feel that if Obama would resign, he should say why too. |

I have two people on friends from Alaska though. lol I don't understand your point. |

look....she gave her reasons and that still is good enough. she gave Alaska her reasons...actually she gave everyone her reasons. but people will always gossip and find rumors or conspiracies. If there are other reasons...they will come out IF she decides to run for president....until then..she is out of politics. dead horse. If someone wants to quit their job...then that isn't the public's business....but scandals and rumors will always happen.
Personally I'm not a fan of hers...but come on people. put away the tin foil hats until there is proof of something |

Rose, I don't know what people here voted for her. I have two people on friends from Alaska though. lol I don't understand your point. by your theory of who deserves an explanation...it's the voters that voted for her in Alaska....did everyone wanting a reason in here move to Alaska all of a sudden????? and did your friends vote for her??? either way...she gave an explanation but that isn't good enough....so why bother giving one? |

winx...I was using YOUR criteria of who she owes an explanation to. I don't think she owes anyone a reason. if it was because of something illegal...let the law handle it...she's out. she can't hurt anyone any more. BUT SHE GAVE A REASON ALREADY

why should anyone give a reason anyway when the other side can't accept and move on. it's not like she is raising taxes that effects all of us...she quit her job...someone else is stepping in

But she said a major factor in the decision was the mounting legal bills she and the state have had to incur to fight ethics charges from her political adversaries. None of the accusations have been proved but, she said, the costs of fighting them have been enormous.
Like she said in article if taken at face value, she is doing a good thing, saving her state and herself from endless legal bills. |

please tell me it isn't so Palin resigning now whats all the hoopla about her not giving an explanation for her resignation? did she or didn't she? if she did, what'd she say? Originally she said: ""Once I decided not to run for re-election, I also felt that to embrace the conventional Lame Duck status in this particular climate would just be another dose of politics as usual, something I campaigned against and will always oppose," Palin said in a statement released by her office. "It is my duty to always protect our great state. With that in mind, my family and I determined that it is best to make a difference this summer, and I am willing to change things, so that this administration, with its positive agenda, its accomplishments, and its successful road to an incredible future, can continue without interruption and with great administrative and legislative success," she said." |
