That makes sense, since most people I know who are now married have told me that not looking will automatically bring me together with the other person I'm meant for. It's hard to wait and not look, though.

There is no advice that isn't common sense.

Then again, I've never looked for A date. I'm more focused on the second, third, and ninth date.

I guess I would advise the advisee to not look for just one date. Any woman worth dating once, had better be worth the effort of a bit of commitment. You might do it wrong a hundred times before you get it right.

Look at the date as just getting to know someone, not as a potential life mate. Take it slow, be yourself, and don't put-out on the first date.

omg thank you!!! that's something i've never understood- why go out with someone assuming they're "the one???" that's just retarded. another reason people are so massively disappointed when things don't work out, their expectations were too high.
