There are thousands of people there today, but many of them are not affiliated with eachother, there are groups that don't even like eachother but all have on common enemy... Obama.

I'd like to know who all these groups are. Anyone know?

There are some groups there. A lot of them are individuals, and they don't think of Obama as an enemy. They are tired of congress trying to cram down all this wastefull speending, and trying to push universal health on us when we don't want it.

All you have to do is look at the signs they are carrying, they are clearly anti-Obama. That's what this is all about.

I found this:

"FreedomWorks Foundation, a conservative organization led by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, organized several groups from across the country for what they billed as a "March on Washington."

"Other sponsors of the rally include the Heartland Institute, Americans for Tax Reform and the Ayn Rand Center for Individuals Rights."

There is allways a group or groups that organize everything. But you can't put everyone who shows up to said events in those groups.
I find it funny that the liberals think people don't have their own minds and can't think for themselves and need to belong to an orgaization to do something like these teaparty's.
I've been to a tea partty here in WI and it was avast amount of people yes some in dif political groups. There were even democrates there that are fed up with all the wastefull spending and over taxing going on.

I could understand people protesting taxes but the curious thing is, my Federal Taxes decreased $50 a month starting last April.

And it can't be about Universal Health Care as that is not even on the table or in any of the bills.

So what is this really about?

it's the same as the Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink stuff

partisan organizations stirring up the gullible and using them to throw dirt at the opposition

"We've come to a point where every four years this national fever rises up — this hunger for the Saviour, the White Knight, the Man on Horseback — and whoever wins becomes so immensely powerful, like Nixon is now, that when you vote for President today you're talking about giving a man dictatorial power for four years. I think it might be better to have the President sort of like the King of England — or the Queen — and have the real business of the presidency conducted by... a City Manager-type, a Prime Minister, somebody who's directly answerable to Congress, rather than a person who moves all his friends into the White House and does whatever he wants for four years. The whole framework of the presidency is getting out of hand. It's come to the point where you almost can't run unless you can cause people to salivate and whip each other with big sticks. You almost have to be a rock star to get the kind of fever you need to survive in American politics."

Well the one we had her was in protest of our gov. His budget that was passed is going to drain our pocketbooks.
Every cent we are getting in tax cuts from the fed is being taken by our state many times over.

My co-worker is there. I'm hoping she gets out of jail by Monday so I don't have to take her caseload...

She was a part of a "9-12" group.

I'm not really even sure. I think she and the group she went with were protesting rushing health care reform too fast. When I asked her what group that's what she told me. I think there might be a website or something.

TJ, I could see protesting at the State when they raise your taxes. The thing that gets me is my Federal taxes dropped, just as the majority of the people in this country. Yet they are at D.C. protesting taxes?

The same thing you describe happened her in Arizona as well. My Fed Taxes dropped $50 a month in April and in May, the State of Arizona raised my State taxes $45 a month.

I was like WTF!!! And we have a Republican Governor and Republican controlled legislature.

They had a Tea Party protest here in AZ at the Capitol and who do they schedule to speak? The same Republican Legislators that just raised our State Taxes!

These guys are talking out of both sides of their mouths but people are too ignorant to see the charade.

They also complain about the stimulus $$ but have no problem wanting their fair share.
