I am fortunate that I can do my job from any location in the world.

But if I had to choose for any other reason, it would be a tough one because I've had a 25 year love afair with my job already.

 If you had to make a choice between someone you love or your career, what would you choose?

Here's a thought. If I have to chose between the two, I've already made a wrong choice in love, or career.

Wow, I guess I am one of the few but I have to go with my career. If someone made me pick them or my career...then for some reason they have some insecurities. My ex husband said I could NOT go to college to become a nurse because I would figure out that I would be better off without him...You noticed I said EX!! I went to college and got a divorce...LIFE IS GOOD!! flowerforyou

My books are a whole lot more honest, faithful, and reliable than anyone I've ever been with. I'd go with the career, and it's no contest.

If you're a career criminal you could try the Bonnie and Clyde thing. It could be romantic!

If you're an astronaut I would say stick with the career... even though long distance relationships tend to fall apart.

But I'm a poet. Haha! I get both. If I had to choose a girl over writing... she would try to cut off my hands or something? If any girl made me so overjoyed that I stopped writing altogether I would definitely have to take love.

Then, even if she broke my heart, I could just start writing again with the really good, depressing stuff.

Yet another example of the classic False Dichotomy. Balanced people can always find a balance between the two.

If you find yourself with someone who is so high maintenance that says otherwise a gives ultimatums based on that, you have yet to understand you're on a treadmill to nowhere.

I have seen,,employment or careers,,divide the couple.
But THEY were not a NEW couple,,,so time and THEM already had a start to turn away,,I feel,,anyway..?
As to ANY two people who would just meet,,,many things come to mind.
as to what they both need to except, and not change in the other one, nor TRY to...And as for ME,,,,
I truly realize just how long one must wait to find a REAL LOVE.
So my JOB,,,,,can ALWAYS BE REPLACED,,,,or CHANGED,,,as to allow
that LOVE we both felt,,,and lived,,,to LIVE-ON..drinker

Its like someone meeting another one who has children,,,and the one w/o the child SAYING,,,,ok,,I love YOU,,,but the kid has to GO..
PLEASE,,,,NOT IN THIS LIFE-TIME,,would I say THAT or DO THAT.

So as my love,,,or my job,,,,,,GIVE ME THE LOVE..

This a decision that requires good reasoning and sound judgement. Making sure that your resonsibities are taking care of first and not doing some rash and not thinking things through completely is a big mistake. I think if and when I fall in love again anything is possible. It is just a matter of how to work things out... If it appears that there is know reasonable or rational way to make the relationship work...then it won't and as an adult it is time to step up and be one before someone gets hurt.

I think the real question is do you want to make money or spend money.

A career won't act like an arrogant a$$hole, so I'd choose the career.
