how can i download anti-virus for free? You really cant put a price on an anti-virus, but if you want a free AV i would recommend you just use a trial and then purchase.. AVG AV is free, but doesn't protect against trojans or flash viruses.. ClamWin is free but does not include real time scans... Malwarebytes is free, but doesn't scan automatically if you don't mind scanning manually weekly, this is the best one out there.. It can be found at www.malwarebytes.org Your best Paid AV is Norton anti-virus 2009/2010 I would recommenced you just buy it, as for the best piece of mind it is the best out their.. Another Great AV is Sophos or Kasperski, however the best is still Norton. |

OK.... Should be simple.... Remove MS Money from my XP Emachine Im gonna borrow this from Microsofts website; But here is step by step, 1. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK. 2. In the Currently installed programs list, click Microsoft Money, and then click Remove. 3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the removal process. 4. Repeat steps 2 through 3 to remove any programs that are associated with Money, the Microsoft Money System Pack, or an earlier version of Money. Or.. In english... 1. Click on Start 2. Click on settings 3. Click on control panel 4. Double click on Add/Remove programs 5. Scroll down to Microsoft office, look for Microsoft Money 6. Click Remove Follow the steps involved, most likely just going to say to click next, and are you sure you want to remove.. 7. Reboot.. Should be good to go.. Let me know.. |

Well to start with, it is probably your PC that has the issue, as i am running Norton 2k9 on a P3 600mhz with 256mb of ram, and my machine flys.. no issues.. however, again, AVG will not protect against active Trojan viruses, or variant worms.. Thus i would just not bother with it.. I have tested about 30 different AV's... The Tops for home.. Norton Antivirus 2009/2010 "360 was to much of a killer of system performance. Sophos - provided almost as good security as Norton, but it isnt as polished.. Kasperski - Best protection, but a pain in the *** when it comes to configuring it.. Vipre - Strong performance, but not as secure, contains no firewall Panda - removes virus, trojan, spyware, worms, but doesnt use the normal naming convention, so any manual removals are kinda like guess work. Best for business Symantec endpoint 12 - best.. hands downs.. Trend-Micro, Good protection, not great but provides a great reporting service to help track down where the virus came from Vipre Great, and easy to modify to improve system security Worst anywhere... AVG - cant find worms or active trojans CA-Etrust - no antispyware. firewall, and support is in india Mcafee running this on an identical machine next to norton 360 it made this machine look like a p2. OK...OK... So I had a brain-F**t...
 This emachine T1150 is 6+ years old, and has been left on 999.99999999% of its' life!!!!! Got my money's worth for sure....  I had just forgot about "Msicuu.exe", because I didn't have it on my thumbdrive...  I just did a "Clean install"...(Only the 2nd time in the life of this emachine!!!!) Thanks,.... U DA MAN!!!... |

What are the differences between the academic versions of Windows 7 and the retail versions of windows 7?
When I say academic versions I am referring to those that are currently being sold for $29.99 online to students with valid .edu email addresses. I would also like to know why Windows XP home was removed from the market but yet it is still being sold by companies like best buy as the OS that is installed on their nettops and netbooks and they do ont offer upgrades to Windows 7 for free when you buy one new after the release of Windows 7. |
