When going through a difficult time in your life, what have you learned about yourself?

Me? I've learned that I was afraid to face my emotions. I've learned that I hide behind humor so people won't see the real me. And most shocking, atleast to me, I've learned that the people who love me, weren't fooled for a minute. What have you learned? |

I've learned that I am a strong woman and that no matter what comes my way I will find a way to get past it and move on, it will just take time.

I've learned that I numb myself to things until I finally wind up breaking down over them.

And my happy face can fool almost everybody. =/ Still workin on dealing with things one at a time, instead of letting them build up. |

It's hard for me to be my happy self sometimes. I try to go for morning walks (on my days off) and think to myself. It's relaxing and refreshing.

I've learned that I hide behind humor so people won't see the real me. And most shocking, atleast to me, I've learned that the people who love me, weren't fooled for a minute. What have you learned? Excellent Question and thoughts... I think when my husband died I learned I was stronger than I ever thought possible. When I was raising my children,I learned to be adaptible. When I was in my second marriage, getting out of it was hell and well I learned to value myself if I didn't no one else would. Through all of it I learned to be more compassionate, there may not be a tomorrow to do it right or a do over... I learned to laugh, at the smallest things. In all of my travels I think the main thing I learned. What it meant to love and be loved. a priceless gift to all. |
