Topic: DIAMONDS/SIZE OR QUALITY?

So would you prefer a stone that is huge but flawed
or a smaller stone that sparkles and shines.

Size or quality.

Hmmm sounds like other posts I've heard somewhere, but that wasn't about
diamonds I don't think! hehe

Please remember there is no wrong answer, this is just looking for your
opinion.
NO FIGHTING PLEASE!!!

Well, i wouldn't want a small little flake of a diamond that was
perfect, but I also wouldn't want a huge honker of a stone that was
really flawed. I guess as long as it was bigger than a flake I would
want the small high quality one.

I own only one real diamond ring... it belonged to my great grandmother
and I never take it off my finger....it's nothing special.. you all have
probably seen it in some of my pics... however, to me its priceless...

I gave my other diamond rings to my best friends

huge and flawless 8^)

no really, the whole diamond thing is symbolic
in my case we selected a very high quality stone
which was comparable in size to those of her mom's, stepmom's and
sister's stones. that way she had a beautiful diamond which was not
overly ostentatious when compared to our loved one's

such great simulated diamonds are available these days that the whole
diamond appearance thing is kind of ridiculous

it is a symbol only of your enduring love and commitment
and really is superfluous although for young lovers it is nice to have
this symbol with you always as a reminder of the depth of caring for
your love.

personally i also like a beautiful solitary gemstone pendant or gold
heart as similar symbolic jewelry

i like to design and make my own jewelry - sometimes working with a
local shop owner - and i have made pendants, pins, and earrings for my
lovers in the past

to get back to diamonds though, i prefer at least VS so that inclusions
are not visible to the eye, color of E or better, and i do look
carefully at the cut - but i am used to looking at them and will notice
differences when stones are compared
