We are up to 5 inches and its still coming down. If I didn't have to work tonight it would be fun.

But I do have a pet peeve. I know I was lucky to have one parent at home growing up and mom truly enjoyed us being at home. Its one of the reasons I don't foresee myself having kids because I don't see meeting someone who feels the same.

But I am seriously disgusted at listening to people b!tch about having to be home with their kids. I get the financial hassles but its not like it happens so frequently. Why did you have kids if you don't want to spend time with them? How hard is it to go out and play with them and spend quality time!

End rant.

I'll rant with you. Why don't parents ever take their kids out to play in the snow? You rarely ever see kids in the snow. When I was growing up, Mom was almost always home with us. I remember going out and playing until our clothes were soaked, coming in, changing them and then going back out. We spent hours out there.

I really wish I saw more kids out. They are missing out on a lot of fun. sad2

The other day when we had 2 ft of snow, we went out and shoveled a 3 foot wide path so the little ones could go out. Otherwise, about all we would have been able to see is heads sticking out of snow drifts. rofl They played for a long time! It is fun to experience the snow with them.

My mother never played with my brothers and I. She was a stay at home mom for quite a while, several years or more. But she never played with us, indoors or out. My brothers and our friends entertained each other, not her. She spent all day riveted to watching soap operas and drinking wine. A rift began to grow in the family between my siblings and my mother, because she never took the time to talk with us, about fun and interesting things, or play games, or even hang out. She took care of us, yes, and I'm thankful for that, but she never really got to know any of the four of us kids.

I play in the snow....

Make snow angels, snowmen, hot chocolate, and warm cookies....

I do it for myself as much as my children, especially when they were younger....

I think we have about 7-8 and still coming. My brother in law and neighbor are having a snowman building contest with 2 other houses lol. They are trying to see who can build the biggest snowman. Of course the kids are inside where it's warm lol

Because people frown on abortion and you can't feel anything with a condom? Also, they just put in the tip and they can't get pregnant on that particular day. That's why they have kids... Or did that darn condom break again?

As far as playing with children, no thank you.

The power cords for their game consoles won't reach outside!

I AM sorry to hear that, Cats. I know families like that, in no way neglectful, but in no way involved, so that is also hard for me to understand. My grandmother was like that, though mom was a latch-key kid, which is why they both decided on someone staying home, and being extremely involved. Even with dad working, they did so much stuff with us.

Egads, that's exactly how it was when we were living up in Michigan. Snow ball fights, snow forts, games up in the hay loft of the barn. Dad would take us to the reservoir and show us basic survival techniques and such. LMAO!

When we were trying to get the vehicles out, mom, myself and my brother were pelting each other with snow balls, Fri. Even chunked a few at the horse (he wasn't impressed) and the dogs.

Sadly, that is true!
