I'm a club promoter in Los Angeles and usually spend 3 to 4 nights a week in my club. Usually it's a cool scene, but sometimes there are trouble makers. We have bouncers that control things , but they can't see everything and sometimes I end up dealing with something myself.
This one night I noticed this guy with a bloody nose and this chick who had punched him was cursing him. I went over to find out what happened and the chick was saying this guy was groping the girl she was with and so on.

I said, "Look, we,ve got a strict rule on this shi*. You fight, you're out. Your'e welcome to come back in the future, but tonight you're out."

The chick exploded when she heard this. "I guess it's ok for a women to be assaulted in this club. I guess we should stand around and do nothing. "

"What you're supposed to do is get a bouncer ...", I said but she interrupted me in mid sentence. "My friend was getting her *** grabbed. I'm a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kown Do. I use restraint, but I won't allow anyone to attack my friends."

"Wait a minute", I said, "if you used restraint, why is this guy standing here with a broken nose?" This really pissed her off. "You asshol*", she said, "I told you 3 fuc*ing times he assaulted my friend". At this point both of these xxxxxes were up in my face cursing and calling me names.

"Alright ladies", I said, "it's time to go."
"I want to talk to your boss", she responded.
"I am the boss around here. I'm in charge and you're leaving."
"You better call up your boss because if you touch me I'll break you nose too."

This was a mistake. I don't like being threatened. First I turned to the guy with a bloody nose. "Go tell them that I sent you over for a free drink. You get to stay. How do you 2 like them apples?" He walked off with a smile on his face and the TKD chick was furious.

"He stays we stay mother fu*ke*!" With that I grabbed her by the arm to escort her out and she punched me in the mouth hard enough to bust my lip up. Now I don't train martial arts as much as I use too, but I take my steroids and hit the weights hard core. I tackled this chick like a linebacker and I thought about pounding her out like I would a man, but I was a gentleman and didn't throw a punch. Instead I put a vicious head lock and started choking hard. "Want to play with men b*tch?" I whispered in her ear. "No matter how hard you train in Tae Kwon Do you will never be able to live in my world."

By this time the bouncers had arrived and I let them have the chick. When she got her wind back and the bouncers picked her up, she started cursing me again. I just grinned at her because we both knew she had learned a lesson. There are some men a karate chick can mess with and there are some they can't.

No offense dude, but assuming she was telling the truth, she was totally within her rights to defend/protect her friend. In fact the fact that a person CAN'T anymore without getting into trouble (as is shown here), shows what this world is coming to. By acting the way you did, you entitle people like the guy in this to continue abusing IMO.

Obviously this girl is apeshit crazy. She wasnt defending her friend, she was using it as an excuse to hit someone.

I once let the "C" word fly when I was 17.
My girlfriend at the time Karen S. clocked me with a right cross and sent me over my car.

I abhor violence almost as much as I distain ugliness within myself.

I still think of this "tough chick" Karen S. with fondness and love!

I enjoy thinking of myself as a tough chick. But I know which men I can take on, and which to keep on my side

I agree with Kleisto, by letting him stay and giving him a free drink is just telling him that he is allowed to grab women in your club. She should have gotten a bouncer but I have been to clubs where unless the bouncer saw it happen, they don't believe the woman's accusation.

I think the dude got what he deserved, and the power ranger chick should have honored your wish and left for the evening. It sounds to me like another reason I don't drink anymore. I watched 2 dudes go away in an ambulance over a damm quarter once, ridiculas whoa

Explain to me how she deserved it, when the only rule she "broke" was to help protect her friend?

Yep, he should have been 86'ed for the evening too IMO. Just give the poor turkey a good head start on the destroyer and her pal. Dennis

The thing about the bouncer too in cases like this, is that in doing it you waste time that could be better served helping get the guy off your friend. I don't care for the whole security for protection thing in this type of case. If you can defend yourself or your friend, you should be able to.

first off, it could have been an excuse. i know many friends who have used it before to make the man in trouble. Even if that was not that case she BROKE THE RULES for one, two assaulted someone for no real reason its a butt it isnt hurting anyone, call the bouncer and problem solved. She mainly deserved it though for the third reason, for harming the person who was doing his job and getting rid of a psychotic ***** causing a scene. That final punch had absolutely no value in this, shes on a power trip and needed to learn a lesson about self control

I agree she has the right to defend herself if that were the case..it's hard to tell at times when dealing with drunks. However, all involved should have had to go if that is the rule..to let him stay just because she pissed you off was inappropriate on your part. Even more so if he had done what she said he did. Since you weren't sure... it was a bad call and he was allowed to possibly continue that behavior throughout the night with others.
I tended bar for 8 years...so I get the drunk thing, the way people can get and I've seen tough guys and tough girls. I learned how to deal with such people and had the fat end of a cue stick behind the bar with me. I only pulled it out if talking wasn't working, and luckily only ever had to use it once.
To say to her what you did only fuels the anger, especially when dealing with drunk people. If this is your profession, it seems maybe you need more training. The way you told this it sounds like you were enjoying the power position you were in. People who get off on being in power over others..well frankly are just as scary as mean drunks.

If it's true though, I say screw the damn rule, at that point it's a matter of defending a friend in trouble. To hell with the rule, the rule fails in a case like this. When someone is watching a friend get groped, and can't do anything about it because of the "rules", then I think that's really really sad.

Second reason doesn't apply then, because she had a damn good reason if her friend was in danger.
