I have been pondering this lately and I'm throwing it out here to find out what others are feeling.

In our 20's or 30' we are on the path to acquire things, job, cars, boats, material things, wife, husband, children home.

In mid-life or 30-40 age bracket its maintaining the things we have acquired even deciding whether or not to keep these or change things.

Now come the senior years and realistically speaking 50 isn't senior years now that I'm a little past 50, but what I'm getting at is that as we age we change. I am at a point where I think I have pulled over to the curb!

What road are YOU on?

... I would like to leave the van behind start 'hoofin' up the mountain to a place of peace and serenity, clean air and water and a little place for gardening and enough wood to live without gas or electric!

Get back to the days when all you need is a couple of horse's and a wagon

" Basic's" No computers or cell phones Yippie!

Just imagine eye contact and talking to someone face to face like in the old days!

..could lead to sex and making love!

Well' I was cruising down a desolate highway for a little while. I just pulled the wheel adruptly and ran the car into the ditch. Now, I'm just walking around, trying to find a nice little town that will take me in for a while.

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

I'm on the road back to childhood. I have been the responsible adult and the kids are raised. Now I would like to go back to hanging out with my friends and spending the day carefree and having fun. When we were children all we need was a friend and an imagination and we could pretend to be anything we wanted to be.

I would also like to have that feeling of new love and with the knowledge I have acquired through the years I now know that it is the little things that make a relationship work.

So here's to cruising on a Friday night!drinker

Glad I could make you giggle. I laugh my arse off about it too actually. I suppose it could be worse...I could be parked in hell with no way out. At least I'm just passing through (hopefully!).
