I didn't have sensitive nipples going in so it was not a risk for me. My doctor did warn me that I have a chance of losing sensitivity because I opted for that procedure (going through the nipple). I didn’t want scarring and the other methods proved not as stable in the long run.

Also, if a woman plans to breast feed then going through the nipple is not an option.

For me, it was a good choice all around.

I never knew boobs were so complex... I just think they are fun to play with. as far as fake ones go, I kinda like small boobs they're cute ; )

and one of my fears was always i doubt anyone could change... though i would not opt but for something what most would call small breasts anyway.. however the change of them.. i dont like being stared at.. i would fear with a change people would stare..

That is a valid concern.

If you are the type of person who doesn’t want any attention on yourself – even flattery – then you would not be a good candidate for implants. The procedure can be extremely complimentary – even for small implants – and it will draw attention.

I’ve seen a lot of girls WITHOUT implants who demand attention to themselves and their breasts. I don’t think implants are the problem. I think the individual who has esteem issues has the need for attention. I'm sure we have all seen women who do the "look at me" thing and they don't have implants. Implants are the easy scape goat.

The only time anyone might notice mine is when I am in a bikini; otherwise, I just have boobs like any other woman.

i have to say... i have thought of the options of in between jobs doing it though... when it came to that...honestly to me my few close friends im sure they would look.. but know me well enough to look past that thinking... but in a workplace i just dont know at all if i would like that thought...

No but it does change things. Kind of goes back to the whole beauty thing with women and society today. There are pros and cons of course to fake boobs and it all depends on how a woman carries / expresses herself. I remember when Pamela Anderson wanted to be taken seriously when she was talking about issues and current events so she opted to have them reduced so people would listen instead of just stare, everyone was like

bad implant job happen, just like bad tattoo jobs or whatever. It is part of the risk you take. I've gotten bad haircuts before

I watched a Jessica Simpson show called "The price of beauty" where in Brazil....plastic surgery, etc is part of their culture. They do it for themselves and very proud to show off what work they have done.

There are a small percentage of implants that leak or burst due to accident (car, etc).

She should have planned for that issue. When going into the procedure, a document is signed warning the patient to financially prepare for such an incident.

The implant is usually warranteed for 5 years but not the doctor’s fee, surgical room, etc.

That happened to my cousin (one popped) but the Dr took care of it, it wasn't her fault (with in a year of her getting them). Maybe your friend didn't have a very good Dr.

She also had them make them both bigger while they were already in there
