no I wouldn't. I enjoy earning my own way, so no amount of money would make me stop.

Even if I was to marry someone with money (or I won the lotto) I would still work, even if it is volunteering somewhere

If I fell in love with someone who had money, that would be a nice benefit. But I would never marry or even date someone BECAUSE he had money!

I would marry for love not money, without love you have nothing, I am my own person when it comes to money, to marry for money that foolish.

as I said in the first sentence, no I wouldn't. IF I were to get married again, then it would be for love, not money.

It's unfair of you to say all people would marry for money.

I must be attracted to my potential husand.

If is fugly, beer gutted, bald or had M(.)(.)bs - I don't care how much money he has - it doesn't buy attraction (or the other things I listed above).

Love is not money for everyone. winking

Besides, I make my own money!!

I have considered that idea when I had two small children; their biological Dad and extened family had clearly proven they were not going to step up in any situation. Times were very difficult. My health was terrible at the time and I really questioned if I could manage any other way.

The person I was considering was not an eveil person in any sense of the word and I think even had a serious degree of affection for me.

What I decided then was if I sold out not only myself and the person who was willing to marry me in that terrible arrangement that I was also selling out my children and my general faith in the world to be a good place.

hard times did not immediately turn around and I can honestly say in many ways I still feel very much on my own in the world but with patience, time, and persistence in seeking what would make for a good solution turned out. What I did get was way more valuable than the marginal comforts of money not being and issue.

I do get why some people do get so fatigued by constantly struggleing to make ends meet but hopefully that is motivation to learn to budget and live with in your means. Sometimes that comes with honoring they choices you made earlier in life. Mine was to have two children and later divorce a husband that I found intolerable. The kids I could not dream of being free of the other I couldn't get my freedom from fast enough.

If you marry just for money I think you risk finding yourself the prisoner of the money. Since most people spend to the uppper limits of what they earn often more money only means more problems; sometimes bigger problems. Just having money makes you a target of those who want it.
