ok,, for all those who travel beyond their back yards,,, IF you didnt or couldnt live in the US,, what are the top three destinations in the world you would pick instead?

according to the 2010 quality of life index, the top three are France, Australia, and Switzerland

Im not sure they are quite my cup of tea, although I have made some awesome Australian and kiwi friends,, and it might be cool living amongst kangaroos...lol

I am neutral about Switzerland! I have no opinion. laugh

I've traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, Germany, Italy, Ireland and London.

Well to be fair, the French can't stand the French. What I maen by that is the "rude" French are the ones you live in Paris, my friend from France told me even other people there can't really tolerate their snobby attitudes. So it's kind of like New Yorkers here....

oh my gosh, when I was in the travel industry , I worked with quite a few here on foreign work visas,,, I really loved the attitude they had actually(not at all the snobby thing that gets portrayed in media)

After what I've been through, Australia is at the bottom of my list. My faves are the U.K., Japan, and Canada.

Japan or any other Asian country is the bottom of my list. I have no interest in those cultures.

Canada is another possibility. A friend sold his house and moved to Toronto to marry his Canadian girl. He loves it!!

Spain, Brazil are other interests.

It would take a lot to get me out of the USA though! drinker

That's the easy way out. The question was (paraphrased) if you couldn't live in the U.S., where would you live?
