Not a big fan.

I remember seeing a guy in his mid 50's who had a huge cross tatted across his chest. I am sure it was beautiful when he had it done as a young man.
When I saw it it looked like a sad droopy saguaro cactus.

I don't have a problem with them. Didn't there used to be a girl on here who had a tattoo on her back that said "Ride Em Porkchop".........smokin

Now thats a tatoo a man can apritiate

You need to put your face pic back up hun, that one is a little distracting drool

I never got a tat when I was younger, but have NEVER had a problem with them. My daughter's boyfriend has some not too bright ones, but I still like him biggrin

Have a question though - I have my own design, but how do you know you're going to a really good artist. My daughter got what should have been a really nice one, but the guy did a terrible job and it was a reputable place.

I did lots of research online before I picked an artist. I checked out tattoo shops all over california, most artists have pictures of their work up so you can see if they do quality work. Also look at their STYLE of work, I picked my artist because she does a lot of swirly pretty designs like what I wanted and is amazing with flowers. Then I went down to the shop and met her, told her what I wanted and so forth. If she thought someone else at the shop was better suited to do my tattoo she would have referred me.

Remember kids- cheap tattoos aren't good and good tattoos aren't cheap. Don't let price steer you away from quality.

I don't have a problem with them as long as they're well done.

I have one myself, and if I dated a guy that didn't like it, he probably would be too conventional for me anyway.

I have no problem with tats in general, though crappy ones or idiotic, everyone's done it, don't do it for me. I love the elegant beauty behind some of them, and the stories about why the person got it.

That said, I don't have one, and don't particularly see myself getting one. But then, I can't draw worth a flip, so putting it down on paper what's floating around in my head won't happen.

Soufie if you already know what you want I will make it my life's mission to get you down here to see my artist. You can handle the pain I promise!

Do you really think I could sit for 5 hours at a time getting tattooed if it was that bad?

I've noticed since I've become more heavily tattooed that people have a lot more to say about it than when I only had a few that were even visible.

For the guys - Would it bother you enough not to date someone? Are you the conservative type that could NEVER bring a girl like me home to Mom? (If you are, do the tattoos secretly give you a half chub?)

Yes, these are serious questions!

For everyone - I know tattoos come with a stigma but doesn't the actual artwork and the quality of the artwork count for something?

I am going to ask NICELY that anyone who thinks that people with tattoos are trash, PLEASE stay out of my thread. I really don't appreciate that kind of negativity.

Some women look good with a lot of tattoos, others no so good. Generally, I don't like to see a whole lot of tattoos and piercings.

It's not necessarily a deal breaker with me, but does give me the impression that maybe we wouldn't have a lot in common. Of course, that impression can always be wrong.

Thanks to TV people are now stereotyping more than ever, in your case they always show people with alot of tatoos to be drug addicts, metal satanists and have the tendancy to be homosexuals...thats why you get the eye brow wherever you go.

On the other hand, it really depends on the area your at. for example, as you can see I shave my head...where I come from that is just a hair style, in other countries its a statement of either being a criminal, or being a racist ! Im always given the eye brow, and whenever I ride on the bus people would prefer to stand up than to sit next to me. But that aint gonna make me grow my hair back winking

Exactly what I mean! You might see me and think you have nothing in common not knowing that I really am a big dork inside

Haha.

No, but really. I don't care, both of my tats were done in jail...I have little room to complain about the artwork, let alone about someone with ink.
