do internet relationships really work? or is it something that people do cause their bored?

I've made a few friends through the internet.

I've never been so lucky as to find a romantic relationship though.

I would say it depends upon what the unique individual wants to use them for. If two unique individuals have the similar thoughts, feelings and emotions for each other then it might work. Some distant relationships might be proven false this way, too if they are just bored or if one of them is just bored. I had one relationship this way that ended in marriage. I had one relationship this way that just ended. It seemed as real as the first to me. Sometimes the relationship is real and sometimes it is just an illusion. It can get expensive and hard on the heart when you don't take enough time to really feel out the other person. You might get lucky or you might just find out that it is a hoax.

i think its bout like playing the powerball,it may work for a very,very few lucky ones.

I think cyber relations are great!, its so convinient having all my friends in this little box that I can turn on and off when ever I please...

LDR's is not a game (for me anyway)...It is a commitment to both parties involved.......a true relationship....of love...caring...trust....

Is there a point to where you just stop looking for a date? If that's so, then why are there "dating" sites?

Sure, the social thing is all well and good, but, really, I'd like to make good friends that I can hang-out with AND find one that will be my "best" friend.
I know it takes time - but, how much is enough?
