Topic: What are your top 3 things you look for in a mate?

Things I look for in a mate: Respect Honesty Someone who is caring They have to be faithful They have to love family They have to have a good heart They have to have a good personality I just can't name 3 things because I won't settle for just an average guy. I don't want the perfect guy BUT I want the guy that is perfect for me!!! I think I described one of my best friends...to bad we are such good friends huh!!!

Well I am glad I am not the only one unsure of what I want or what I am looking for. Communication is definitely up there, after 10 years with my exhusband, he still has no idea who I am or what my future aspirations are. Maybe 3 isn't fair to ask for, maybe just your top priorities. I guess I am still believing in the " I will know when I know that I know"....and I suppose this list will change, it has to change as I grow, right? But after thinking about it, I think I better have this figured out a little or I will never know when I see a match, right?

Absolutely not, friendship is the solid foundation couples fall back on when times are tough...if he knows all your stuff and at the end of the day still stays with you, well honey he is a keeper...

1. Communication ability....does he do more then sit there and grunt when I talk to him. 2. Eye contact....when he talks to me can he hold eye contact with me and not look away nervously all the time. 3. Must have a fuzzy upper lip and a fuzzy pillow for me. yes please, make a list. I am thinking as you all reply about your answers, about what I want and what I want to give in return in a relationship.... I think I wanna add in my top priorities someone who gets me, you don't have to agree with me, just understand I have strong beliefs and sometimes make the wrong choice, but if you know my heart and really who I am you'll just know that is me...does that make sense?

I am sorry for the remark I made a couple of days ago, but am so fed up that sometimes after losing a wife after 33 years of marrage, that I get so bummed out and feel like it might be better to spend even more time alone. :-((

i could list so many things but in the end...when it comes down to it ....just want her to be who she is...i mean if im attracted and i like her then thats it lol. we all want to be liked, loved and accepted for who we are ...so yeah

I dont think its a matter of making yourself happy, yeah if your on your own you have no choice but think about the reason you love people, friends family and lovers, because they make you feel happy. My perfect partner would be someone that makes me happy, i think you give as good as you get and i am a giving person, i really enjoy looking after someone so it would make me happy to have someone look after me just as much. Communication is a BIG one. whats the point in being with someone you cant talk too or dont want to talk too? or who cant tell you how they feel? Also, my slightly shallow side, has to be gorgeous to me. if there is no spark then there is no fire, no fire no passion and i would hate to spend time with someone i dont want to ravish every night.

So, I wrote down things I want and my list came out to 87. So, I made 87 slips of paper, threw them all in a hat, shook it up, and drew three slips. And....Voila!!!
