Unfortunately you are not the only one.

The Mayans say nothing of the end, there is nothing on their calendar that says anything about the end, there are no carvings on a wall that say anything about the end...the Mayans simply say nothing about any end whatsoever. Decemer 21st, 2012 marks a beginning, new life, or something else beginning...not ending...don't worry, the world isn't going to end.

i wouldn't think so but why would their calendar END on that date? these were a people obsessed with time, and they were able to predict planetary events thousands of years into the future with amazing accuracy. 2012 marks the shift of our planet in the solar system from pisces into aquarius, this happens about every 26,000 yrs. could this cause a pole shift...plate movement...ice age? the sun has been doing funky stuff lately too...maybe a solar flare will purge this planet? or, will there be a shift in global conciousness? gawd, if only! lol

The Mayans predict that something will change not that the world will end. Every supposed "ending" prophecy the Mayans had had more to do with change not endings. They predicted the rise and fall of nations that hey never had contact with. Maybe it is the fall of America and the beginning of a new empire. I know my aunt and cousins and uncles are Mayans and can read Mayan and speak it.

I believe that was as far as the Mayans
knew to project.
Something to do with the planets aligning.
This does not prevent you from getting an
ulcer worrying it.
Or wasting every spare moment pondering it.

The sun is shining.
You own yourself.
What more do you want?

Until my calendar shows everything missing
past a certain point, I am good.

just as good as any other date to end...ours usually go for a year at a a time, theirs went for 5000 years. maybe they just never made the next calendar.

You can laugh.....as he finished off his basement he built a special secret room for guns and ammo, so the NATO troops couldn't find it. Was going around collecting 55 gal. drums for fuel and water.

It's just the end of the calendar. It restarts. Dec. 31 is the end of our calendar and then it restarts. Big whoop.

2012 is the end of a 10,000 year celestial cycle. I think they just decided to take a break from calader making, maybe let the grand kids work on the next one..... Then, oops, they got wiped out by the Spaniards.

Like all non-scientific predictions its all made up, and its my opinion that this whole end of days was made up by people here and now not then and there. Its purpose, to sell movies, books, seminars, spiritual ju ju frequency juice ect ect ect.

If we where to count up all of the end of days apologetic garbage ever spouted by mankind we could fill the universe causing an amount of pressure equal to that felt by Bill Clinton when he asked for the definition of "is".

Ba da dum, shhh

Argh. If you are concerned about the so-called Mayan prophecy, I suggest that you immediately start sacrificing people to keep the gods happy and the universe intact.

People have such short memories.

Back in the 80's we were told the Mayan calendar stopped in the year 2000...

Yet 2000 came and still we endured.

Now they claim it's 2012.

In 2013 I shall give you all a big razzberry... the big bronx cheer.

Course by then someone will claim that we misread the silly calendar and it actually ends in 2021 or some such nonsense.

so is anyone else concerned about this 2012 stuff or am i the only one? scared

I don't really think that there is any truth to the Mayan calendar "End of the world" stuff..I just think that the person or persons that started the thing either died and didn't teach anyone how to do it before then or lost interest in keeping up with it..Although..I should bring up that there has been a new E.O.D. date set by some woman somewhere I cant remember where but her date is a whole lot sooner than 2012..She's saying May of 2011..But I don't believe her either..I wouldn't get that lucky.

The Mayan culture allows that the year 2012 is significant, yet they used a base sixty numbering system (in which there are individual numbers, like in our base 10 system from 0 to 9, in base 60, there are individual numbers from ((0)) to ((59)). In Base 60, for instance, 78 would be written as 18, ( 1 x ((60)) plus 8 x (1)))

Another thing to know is that the changes coming are not necessarily physical changes. I predict the most important change that will come in the year 2012 will be our knowledge expanding into the realm of life after death. We will learn and d, we will know what to expect exactly after we each die. Ede Teller predicted that this would happen.

In the Aztec calendar, which is eerily similar to the druid calendar of Stone-edge, The world will experience the change in year 2525, but the Aztec calendar's original point Zero in time has been defined differently from the Mayan calendar, as both are the derivative functions of the circular motions of sin x minus cosine x divided by tangent theta times the constant of the speed of light in a liqueous medium of formarldehyde and angrodomea.
