Well, I have never celebrated Valentine's day. I always get broken up with days before. Does anyone have any horror stories about Valentine's Day? Or did anyone have the lovely experience of having their significant other break their heart days/weeks away from the pesky day of love and what not?

Dang, you make me feel like a heel!! I actually broke up with a BF back in high school on valentines day. He'd written something suggestive & inappropiate in his valentines day card. I flew mad & dumped his azz. Haven't seen ol' yellor since!!

Last year my ex-fiance broke up with me five days before Valentine's Day, our four year anniversary was a week after Valentine's Day, and I had just taken her to British Columbia for two weeks as a nice little vacation. XD This year, I just had no one to break up with me, none the less. lol |

eh...not a horror story, but my ex husband never did anything for Valentine's Day for me. I always bought him a gift, a card, and fixed him a steak dinner...creep was giving his daughter and daughter in law these huge heart shaped boxes of chocolate...told me that Valentine's Day was for kids....I have had one GOOD Valentine's Day in my life...a year ago...and will never forget it

eh...not a horror story, but my ex husband never did anything for Valentine's Day for me. I always bought him a gift, a card, and fixed him a steak dinner...creep was giving his daughter and daughter in law these huge heart shaped boxes of chocolate...told me that Valentine's Day was for kids....I have had one GODD Valentine's Day in my life...a yearago...and will never forget it My ex never bought me gifts except Christmas (well actually he'd pick it out from the kids) & my BD which is the day after valentines. Usually he'd have me pick out something or take me out to the burger joint. He would take me out to pizza hut, etc on our anniversary. Wasn't that sweet?  I usuaully got flowers when he was in the doghouse. He was a good guy in many other ways. Just thoughtless & inconsiderate. Now, I'm starting to get pizzed!! Thanks a lot!!!  I feel ya!!!

An old galfriend and a lady friend of hers went on a Riverboat cruise up the Mississippi during Valentines week.
I found out where they would be docking on VD and had a dozen roses sent to her cabin. She called cussing me out. Said it scared hell out of the two of them and to leave her alone. We finally broke up for good two years later. |

Well, I have never celebrated Valentine's day. I always get broken up with days before. Does anyone have any horror stories about Valentine's Day? Or did anyone have the lovely experience of having their significant other break their heart days/weeks away from the pesky day of love and what not? That particular holiday has remained untarnished by breakups. My birthday, their birthday, and Christmas, have not. I always avoid dating someone new on any holiday as a practice. In fact, last Christmas, I passed on 2 dates around Christmas because I knew things wouldn't be right sized, and on January 5th, Sarah came home. |
