I know people anti death penalty but pro abortion,, they feel our life once we are out the womb is more valubable than lfe in the womb

i agree that aborting a fetus is highly immoral but i wouldn't say that someone who doesn't want government involved in a woman's body is necessarily 'pro abortion'. i think the court got roe v wade right but i'd loath a woman who'd make such a choice other than for her own health. i hear often right to lifers saying that they are against abortion except in cases of rape and incest. how moral is that thinking? is not a fetus concieved by rape or incest just as innocent as a fetus concieved by an unwed teen or through an affair?
So if a woman is raped, and becomes pregnant as a result of it, should she be forced to have the child? Maybe you believe that, because you are a man, and dont have to ever really think about getting raped(it happens FAR less to men, than women) or becoming pregnant. Just sayin.

never said i believe that. in fact what i said was that the government should stay out of a woman's right to chose. said i agree that the court got roe v wade right. just saying that a woman who was raped and aborts the child stands on no higher moral ground than a woman who had an affair if she chooses to abort. abusrd to suggest that men getting raped far less than men have anything to do with a woman's right to choose. roe is the law of the land and i think it's just but i would hold a woman who aborts a fetus for any reason other than risk to her health, including rape or incest, is doing an injust disservice to the potential child.

Of course the child would be innocent.
How could a mother possibly be her best when every time she looks into the eyes of her child, she see's her rapist..

I strongly oppose the death penalty
same here, in all cases.

i'm pro-life in every aspect of life.

A recent study found that every execution saves somewhere around 18 lives. Do you think it's possible that sometimes execution is the best way to save lives?

how could such a study possibly be conducted, what were the parameters, how did they determine 'causation' as opposed to 'correlation'?

is there any link to this 'study'?

women are amazing like that

everday, women are BEATEN (a repeated violent offense as opposed to a one time violent offense) by their childs parent and manage to still see the CHILD and love the CHILD because they see themself in the child and see it as seperate from its parents actions/mistakes/ offenses

IF we arent born with it,, its not 'our body'

a developing life is a SEPERATE body, it just depends for a short while on some of our physical facilities to survive much the way it later depends upon our physical efforts(feeding, clothing, loving) to survive

its different stages of a SEPERATE life and SEPERATE body,,,all equally precious (to me)

at least thats MY belief and why the 'its her body' isnt a justification by my beliefs

I understand and respect that others see it differently, and thats part of the continuum of different beliefs on the subject,,,

My sons grew in my womb and came out my crotch....

I'd say that pretty much makes it MY body.

Just google it, there are lots of studies that link executions and reduced violent crime rate. It's just common sense, if you know you could die from committing a crime, then you aren't just motivated to not commit the crime by your morality, you are also motivated by your survival instinct.

there are also lots of 'studies' that show no link,,,,

If there was anything definitively conclusive that execution did a BETTER job at saving life than incarceration, I would be more prone to understanding its 'usefulness', but still would condemn its 'morality.

When your referring to a couple who abuse each other, or one is abusing...either way your referring to a relationship, as dysfunctional as it may be. There was something there at one time..hopefully.

Lets not compare that to a woman who is raped and impregnated by a stranger.

but thats relevant to my point ,

and I am saying this as a victim of a rape AND a seperate attempted rape

those are AWFUL experiences, yes, but women are resilient enough to seperate a child from what their parent has done, even to that woman

It could very easily be much more DIFFICULT to get over an offense by someone who we thought loved us than it is to get over one by a stranger,,, so the nature of the relationship to the offender doesnt change the ability of the mother to love their child and seperate their child from whatever happened,,,

pleas excuse the quotes, they aren truly meant to be sarcastic

I happen to have an innate wonder and sense of humor about the english language and all the ways that any one word can be used,, so I often put quotes around such words that I feel have become overused(such as morals/morality)

or words which seem too broad to be relevant to anything (such as usefulness)
