hmmm...realistically there probably wouldnt' be enough time to see it thru and I can already see what a logistics nightmare it would be but what the hell we're just dreaming here, right.?
I think I'd buy up some of the empty/foreclosured houses in the hood (at todays values I should be able to get a great number)...have them all fixed up real nice....then give them away to family and friends to start with, keep a trust fund established to pay the property taxes and maintain the value for a while. Maybe I would even ...payoff some mortgages for people who are completely under water in their loans but are trying to see it thru. This would help keep a roof over their heads and maybe give my little hood a new beginning or a better chance of getting thru this craziness.

actually you probably wouldn;t need mortgages I like this idea! I could see myself doing something like that back home - buy some land near my beach house and donate it to the nature conservancy - and there would still be plenty left to give to the kids! (including use of the beach house)!!

waving thanks...love your pic btw...right, no new debt...I would payoff other peoples mortgages...some of my neighbors, especially those who are fighting so hard to keep our hood above water...I like your idea too...hmmmm, I wonder if I have enough money left to do something like that..Ruth, can I have some more money please? I've got more work to do....oh I suppse you better give me a little more time too.

Heck I would set my kids and grandkids up for life while I was here.....have one hell of a party.....take my whole family to Hawaii for a week what a party that would be...travel travel travel with my kids and grandkids...so I could spend as much time with them as I can..... and give to St. Jude kids for cancer as well as a few more..........

I would want to spend my last month with the people I love. So I think I would plan a trip and take them all. Maybe to the mountains or Hawaii. Somewhere we could all make some good memories before I have to go. Then I divide the rest of the money up between them, leaving most of it to my children.

I'd leave it all to the one ex who actually understood me, even though it was only for a little while.

I'd set my boys up and give the rest to charities that directly help the poor...feed some hungry kids.

Nothing....I would do nothing with it, personally....it is not something I require, nor do my people.

We understand the value of love, respect and family, we know we have more than money can buy already.

Let someone else agonise over which charity where is more worthy...and why.

I'm too busy dancing in the loungeroom with my people, and laughing...swimming in the ocean, and embracing the wonder of the stars.

I wouldn't leave it to anybody.
I would hand it all out personally.
I win :-)

That sounds fun but I would have to buy up as much vacant property and make sure it can never be built on...then I would hang wif you and help you pass out your money bigsmile

What do you do with the money? Or who do you leave the money to?

First, I cash out my IRA.

Then, I immediately go to Medellin, Colombia, at which time I finally come face-to-face with Ruth, the woman there who calls me "Daddy". I started taking care of her via long distance when she was 6. She is now 23. To her goes 10% of my winnings.

While there I meet Dayana, the 12-year-old girl I am sponsoring now.

I return home to be with my son Dawson and daughter Radiance. 40% goes to Dawson. 30% goes to Radiance. Dawson gets more because he was born my son, and he is still a minor. Although I adopted her, Radiance has been in my life for little more than 2 years, and she has a job.

I give 10% to the new church that I am attending. It does not have a facility of its own. So, the money could be used to buy a home for the church.

The final 10% goes to my favorite charity with the instructions that the money be used as an endowment. I also give the charity $3,000 of my other money (from the IRA), with the instruction that it is to be used to provide for Dayana's needs until she is 18.

Any of my remaining money is to be used to pay for my funeral.

I'd pay someone to kill Charlie Sheen. He is the Warlock ya know, and he's got tiger blood (and that stuff helps you live forever. Hell, look at Charlie. All that coke and all those whores, and dude is still kickin it like he's 15. I want his tiger blood). Anyways, I get the tiger blood and it will cure my illness. I then move to some country where no one knows me, and live out the rest of my days as the new Warlock.
