I accidentally posted this thread in another category. I was just kinda wondering why people follow the political party they support.

I'm a Republican, because the Republicans support the issues that are most important to me as a Christian.

This may make me very unpopular but I had to chime in here. I used to follow the republican party but I am telling you right now that neither party really gives a crap about us. Granted, we have to vote for someone (or do we?) but I am pretty well sick of all government as they all lie. Its easy to see if you look at your local government and also look at the city streets where poor children still sit. We spend billions of dollars to shoot people into space yet inner city schools are closing down LOL. I mean seriously, if you for one moment believe that the government cares, you are living in LALA land with four elves and a pony or something. Sorry to rain on your parade but its just trueohwell

Niether... Both parties are jacked up and there are too many issues for me to support either as a whole.

I am fiscally a conservative, and socially liberal...closer to moderate.

But I have voted for people in both parties so... Just depends.

I have not been impressed with anyone in goverment in a long time. Our picks are rather limited in my opinion. It seems they will promise anything to get elected then break that promise. They just take a chance on what promise they think will get them the most votes. Personally I am tired of the whole mess. I am near 60, I have seen the lost of so much freedom over my lifetime. I have not voted in the last 12 years. Not seen one candidate that I would want over the other. I would vote for the man, if a good man every run for office.

Last Presidential election, I was so discusted with the government as a whole, that when I went into the voting box, there is a place at the bottom so you can write in any name if the person you would like to vote for is not listed, I wrote in Mickey Mouse!
