I have talked about just about everything on this club and in person with people, and from Zionism to Aliens...and here are my observations.

There are three subjects that will get you jumped on very quickly and those three are:

Anti-Zionism,
conspiracy theories about 9-11
and aliens and UFOs.

Compared to any other topics, even religions or Christianity, those three topics will get a barrage of out of control emotional responses from a small group of people.

It matters not how good the references or how much evidence is offered, these topics seem to cause panic in people.

I am beginning to wonder why.

I think I have a theory.

It is a race to the finish. China is ahead in population.

Are we confusing freedom of speech with acceptance of what is said?

Because if there was no freedom of speech, no one would have read those subjects to object to them, right?

Oh... I titled the thread "Freedom of Speech" because I was thinking about how certain subjects are attacked faster than others with a lot of panic stricken reactions. I was also remembering a small farm town newspaper who was threatened and told to stop printing stories about cattle mutilations, and how quickly people get all riled up when I express my views on Zionism. Also the 9-11 theories threads get shut down a lot when insults start flying.

Some people just can't discuss those subjects calming and rationally.

You are confusing Freedom of Speech with Freedom FROM Speech. You have the right to say racist, ignorant things and the other Mingle2ers have the right to point out how stupid your beliefs are.

See what I mean? That sounded quite nasty.

What really irks me are government types who make threats to whistle blowers or try to make people who have actually seen space ships look like crazy nuts through the use of name calling and ridicule.

Some people just get angry when they hear something they don't want to believe.

You repeat lies, which if believed, would result in the death of millions of Jews. That seems quite nasty to me.

I'm glad I have the right to do that but I never say racists or ignorant things.

I am the most rational non-racist person on Mingle.

Some people are not smart enough to separate the political movement called Zionism from the Jewish people of the world.

Most of the stuff people believe are not "facts" but just propaganda repeated so many times that they think they are facts.

Like the fact that Zionism is a political movement and that not all Jews are pro-Zionist.

Many Jews say that Zionism is heresy and that Israel is illegitimate.

Anyway I have spoken what I believe to be true and I am done.

so now Jews do exist when it is convenient that they do?
