Topic: Do you consider yourself bound by fortune?

I think I'm.

I know this thinking leads to negativity, but I had a logical way out of it.

Without keeping any expectations & ambitions I keep on working for achieving targets.I don't keep huge targets, but try to keep it smart through smaller ,stepwise achievable targets.

May be it's my weakness but I don't like following & competing with others.I always compete with myself & try to do everything better today than I did that yesterday.

I believe,I can't do anything beyond destiny, but I know destiny will demolish me anyway if I don't do up to mark.

I believe,I'm bound by fortune, but I know I can be fortunate only if I give it a try.

Will like to know your views about fortune & destiny.

No.
I do not think anyone is 'bound by fortune.'
We are all unique, though bound by society's rules.
But there is self-determination.
There for the taking.

Were we bound by fortune or fate, no one would
explore anything.
No hope, for anything better.
We would all be put in our wee boxes
and bundled.

As opposed to free, to be the architects
of our own doom.

Oh heck no. I make my own fortunes, sometimes they are good, sometimes they are bad. That's the way life goes.

I don't believe in any of that. As far as I'm concerned, it's just a bunch of stuff that happens, and sometimes you get a certain amount of influence into the smaller things.

I do my best to do my best at whatever I am doing and it seems like Karma treats me very kindly.

I don't think about what I am going to say....I just say it.

I don't plan on what to do....I just do it.

It has yielded for me thus far, a happy, fulfilling, loving life.

I don't believe we are bound by fortune. We have free will that lets us make our own choices. And our choices direct our paths .

I always get too deep with any topic. lol. If you mean luck, and not money, then i'm not sure. There is only so much one can do to make things go their way. I've had a colon illness, which i've went into remission with five times so far. While i was ill with it, i tried my best to manipulate it into going away, mainly by drinking water, and only eating a few mouthfuls of anything. As not eating much can sometimes make gut function easier, and take away severe bowel spasms. I found it was like fighting fire with fire. lol. Fate is a hard thing to control. I just have to see where it'll take me.

Many people thinks of destiny & fortune only if something either goes wrong or goes unexpectedly right way.

Don't you ever think, all that we plan, desire,do,decide & everything that happens to us is because of destiny?

If it's true, then aren't we all bound by fortune?

The end result is already there...
the journey is shaped by our choices.

the future is what it will be, w/e. we impact the future. we make our destiny. we cannot control others and how they impact our present and future choices. but the choices are ours to make.

I believe in no type of predestination, destiny, or invisible hand guiding us along a predetermined path

hell I could pack up and move to anchorage tomorrow
