do you believe happiness is a choice? how does one go about choosing to be happy? how does one go about choosing to be miserable?

The answer to the third question: To do anything in this life you need to be motivated to do it. So if you want to be miserable, the best motivation for you would be to be happy only when you are miserable. This is exactly how I got to be the man I am today. Another good way to be miserable is to keep eating fattening foods for decades on end, in copious amounts, and no exercise whatsoever or only very little. I am also a seventh black-belt master in this approach.

I think you can make up your mind to be happy. Captain your ship..last one off. Being unhappy is a bit more work. You must lose yourself in melancholy, learn to blame everyone else for your woes and keep everything just the way it is. You can share being happy, you can share misery. I pick door #1.

By and large, we choose our outlook. It's not a perfect practice because the happiest person can lose sight of that at times. But overall, yeah...

As soon as I change my choices, my happiness changes. For many years I chose to hang out with energy drainers... Probably contributed to it myself in a way, caught myself almost competing for misery points and suddenly realizing, HEY NOW! That isn't me!

I think that people with certain mental disorders, can't help that they're depressed, miserable, never happy, and in a constant state of dysphoria. However, people can choose to get help, or to stay that way. I always wondered about people who are content being miserable. Isn't that being happy?

I am actually very happy to be.........ME. Took a long time getting to know myself though. But life is GOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD!!!!!! and I'll drink to that!!!

I actually think happy looks better on me, it's very flattering. People seem to respond more positively.
