If you define time as:

"The creation of the Earth."

Then the answer would be 4.6 Billion Years ago.

If you speak of God's age, like any other human, I doubt he would just walk up to (or float over to)Adam and say, 'Hey Adam, I'm God. I'm 47. Trillion Years Old and fatherless. Wanna check out my garden?'

I mean, if God joined Mingle, maybe we'd know how old he is..

To an infinite being eg., God, there is no "time". God gives us time to understand what he is saying when it comes to how long, when, ect. But as in for God himself, there is no "time". He does not get up at 6, go to work at 8, come home at 3, go to bed at 10, ect ect.

"Time" has always been just as God has always been. "Time" did not start in Genesis, only the creation of man, does not say anything about God creating time.

if Time did not start in Genesis 1:1.....then when did time start

I can't wait for this answer...clearly it will point to delusion

I have no idea when "time" started. We are not given that knowledge.

but you are given common sense...use it any figure out the time line

What does common sense and the start of time have to do with one another?

if you have to ask...then you lack it

If you can not answer then obviously you lack it.

no one should have to spoon feed you everything .....I mean if you have common sense then try and use it.....Adam was created on the third day....find out old he was when he had Abel and all the rest of the time line in the bible falls into place

Legs to walk through Heaven and stay beside you. Arms to comfort you and hold you in times of trouble.

that would mean that God had to adapt to Man ...that makes Man God

How would that mean God has to adapt to man? God was first, then came man. How would then God adapt to man when he created man to walk beside man.

then stop giving silly answers that God has arms and legs to hug people that didn't exist before he created them

God had arms when he created man. He created man with arms to hug God back after he has hugged us.

...seriously?

That's what you're going with?

..that leaves a new section open for onslaught.

Of course we have arms for other purposes, didn't mean that's the key reason we have arms.

I think God is just a ball of light.
From this ball, he can take any form he so desires.

Among his travels and creations, he took the form of what we now refer to as a 'human'. This was the form he found most comfortable.

Thus, he created humans, not only in his image.. but his favorite image. Thus why we are (or supposed to be) the top of the food chain and the dominant species of the planet.

But, apparently, that idea doesn't work in the eyes of someone.. or someone's someones, I should say. -.-

And where do you get this idea God is nothing more then a ball of light? Where have you been informed of this? Not denying it, just curious where you find this information.

Inner knowledge. Concept. Logic.

It explains how 'God can take many forms'.
It also explains how he could travel from universe, to universe, with little to no trouble and would also go almost entirely unnoticed by human eye and/or telescopes.
It explains also that he has 'no need' for arms or legs, but also explained why he 'created us in his image'. That was the image he had taken at the time.

Furthermore, it's why no one has ever been able to truly define or draw a picture of what God looks like; simply because most only ever saw His image in other things.

But it says we were made in his image. Does not say we were made in the image he chose, the image he was currently in, ect. And if we were created IN HIS IMAGE, if he took on another image that would be a lie for we would no longer be in his image. And any newly born children after that would no longer be in his image for it would have change if God had many images.

Obviously, you are both lacking it.
You both are deflecting in the same way.

In fact, I answered him 5 times over, and he's no longer responding to me.

The very definition of time itself, is a human creation.
Time isn't a God creation.

The Earth is 4.6 billion years old, therefore, God would ultimately have to be older than that. However, at the same time, an immortal being doesn't have a 'need' to keep track of time; because their life line has no time limit; as humans we do.

Therefore, we put 'time measurements' on everything.
Food, animals, each other, etc.

The question itself, cannot be answered, because God himself does not nor would not age; therefore, time would be an odd concept to him.

And that is not even technically true to say, for God has always been. He has no starting time, there is no before God.

Exactly what I was saying. God has no birthday, for he has no creation point. He always has been and always will be. He doesn't have a "life span", therefore no need to keep track of it, therefore there is no "time" for God. Time is made by man to keep track of things and to do future things at a certain time. God has no need for this, he does things when he chooses to do them.

IN HIS IMAGE - Means, the image WE know him as, but it could also mean the other type of image; image isn't entirely physical you know.

A rapper's image. A Politician's image.

Those are traits or qualities; not always a physical representation.

Therefore, the image he intended us to have, would still technically, be 'in his image'; because it's His image of us.

Again, it's how you interpret it.

Time began when Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden.

That's when they both lost their immortality, and were given a sense of existence, because they would now die.

Adam and Eve gave birth to Seth at the age of 130.

This was all AFTER the fall of Eden; so to speak; when man first grew the concept of time. Therefore, humanizing it, Time itself began 130 years prior to the birth of Seth.

Better?

Good explanation of OUR time. But that doesn't mean God has a "time" for again he is the alpha and omega, the beginning and end. There is no time before God and no time after God, for it does not exist eg., a time before or after God, for God has always been.

Something only has a "birthday" or "Creationday" When that one is born or created. God never was born or created, therefore has no "time".

..that's what I just said.

God, nor Adam and Eve, whilst in the Garden, kept track of time, because they were made to be 'immortal'; therefore, time itself wasn't kept nor recorded, nor a thought; therefore, time itself wasn't actually created yet.

It wasn't until 'death' entered the picture, that time was now an entity in itself.

He asked for time's creation; well, that's it. When Adam and Eve were made mortal.

God gave US time and a measurement to inform us of things he did/does with/for us. We would not possibly be able to understand anything like this without some form of time measurement. But that does not mean this time measurement applies to God, only applies to us and things God does for us.

I'm going by the bible...apparently something that you as a Christian refuse to do...and according to the bible time started at Genesis 1:1 ....and the six days of creation is proof of this and points to how old God and Time are
