Its discouraging when you see someone nice and send then a message. No reply or even an acknowledgement.. Too bad ladies.

What's your point? I can understand your frustration but if someone's not interested, move on. Simple as..

Women are likely going to hate this reply, but it's true.

Online dating is like a video game.

You craft an email and send it out.

Nothing happens.

You do it again.

Still nothing happens.

You tweak your email and send it again.

You get a reply. (you've advanced a level)

You reply to her reply and nothing.

Back to level one.

This is how it goes. Each time you send a message to a new woman you start the climb again. Each time you get a little further, fall back and start over. Until you have mastered the skills and can attract the girl of your dreams.

You have to learn how to play the game. So, don't give up.

I think that some people get so many messages that they stop answering some messages.
I guess the fact that you are so far away from a lot of people would make a difference.
It could be many things, just be patient and get to know people.

They want what anyone wants.
To know who you are before a relationship starts.
The forums can facilitate this.

Also, if you are mailing from Nigeria
to other countries you are one of many.
Have you the same issues with locals?

Not sure you need a game plan. That's just mind games. Leave that crap to the amateur rappers out there. LOL. If she isn't interested, there's nothing much you can do about that. You'll just have to accept reality and move on.

This is not gender specific, it happens to women as well...unfortunately, it's one of the downsides of online dating.

I'd like to make a point. When I said "learn to play the game" I wasn't talking about head games. I was saying that dating (online or otherwise) should be approached with a sense of playfulness. You have to have fun while learning the best way to present your true self in a positive light.

My experience has been that, if you want people to talk to you here, you have to be in the forums.

When I first signed up, I sent some messages out to local people, and never got a reply. Not one. And I've written eight books, so it's not like I don't know how to compose a message.

After I had been in the forums for awhile, they started writing to me.

Well, I haven't written any books. But, I can craft a message that will lead to a conversation with an attractive young lady, guide that conversation to a first meeting and have fun date with her. I've done it many times and it's how I met my current girlfriend.

Does it work 100% of the time with every woman? No. Not all women are going to like me no matter what I do. I'm not interested in the ones it doesn't work on because we wouldn't be a good match anyway.

I'm interested in the ones it does work on. Because it means we have a similar sense of humor, political views, etc. These are good matches for me.

Any man can do the same thing if he can put his true personality into his messages. Maybe 90% of the women won't like him, but the other 10% will be like "OH! HELL YES!"

This is why I say have fun with it. When you're having fun your true personality shows through. Don't try to get a date. Don't try to get laid. Just try to start a fun conversation and let the rest happen.

I look at the ammout of people on the forums and see that many, many of them are only here for the forums, married, in a relationship or in the long distant internet *relationship*.

Some are thinking they want a relationship, but don't play well with others in the forums and look foolish to potential mates. Some are to sexual, some not sexual enough. Hair to short, too long. Some way over think even trying to have a relationship, some way under think it.

I have always thought that if a woman or man is getting to many emails, are only here for the forums and don't feel the need to email back, there should be a turn off email button for all incoming emails except for people on their friends list. Or a thing in the email area that pops up when a non friend tries to email those that are not looking for a date. It would stop the frustration of those on here that are just trying to make a contact with people that want to be contacted for a real conection and dating.......

Just an opinion

That is silly.
They are as likely to be here as anywhere
else in your life.
You sound disdainful of social sites, like
Groucho Marx who "wouldn't join a Country Club
that would have someone like me" when offered
that status as a heretofore never been admitted Jew.

That attitude travels through cyberspace too.

Wow, what a pile of crap that is. What makes you such an expert on what a woman wants?

If they're all doing that, perhaps you should look at the kind of messages you're sending. Are you actually giving them something to respond to? Giving them something to be interested in?

I'll tell you what we want. What we really, really, want. Maybe a Zig-a-zig-ah. Actually i don't know what they want. I'm not all of them. If i was, well that would be very tedious indeed. :)
