Beg to differe, JeannieBean. This is NOT an oval shape:

This shape is called an ellypsis or elipsys or something.

An oval shape is the shape of the running tracks that encircle a typical high school football field.

I want to know how she knows it was flat.

Again, she probably looked at it. The depth perception of people allows them to tell shapes from each other, if they see them even just sligtly rotate in space, and better still, if they rotate around different axes.

People are so good at this, that most times they can't recount the angles by heart. "I saw a car hit a tree", if someone said this, then very possibly they won't be able to prove that the tree was as thick as wide, and with a circular shape as its base; the eyewitness won't be able to tell how wide the car was, but he will tell you how many people were injured inside.

Similarly, if I see an oval-shaped glass with negligible thickness carried on the street by two workmen, I will very likely not be able to tell anyone the angles I saw this at. Even the turning of the glass sheet a few inches or a foot at the edge gives me enough to determine its shape, yet I won't know at a later recount tell along what axis was turning of the glass.

My argument here is that you are asking the wrong question, and you don't realize it, although your intelligence at most times is superior and normally you would not make this mistake (of asking a brutally obvious wrong question the wrong way).

Remember the email.

Wiki states:

In common speech "oval" means a shape rather like an egg or an ellipse, which may be two-dimensional or three-dimensional. It also often refers to a figure that resembles two semicircles joined by a rectangle, like a cricket infield or oval racing track.

If it is not an "oval" shape, then what would you like to call it wux?

She said that she saw an oval shape in the sky that looked like a mirror. If she was looking at it strait on, and it did not tilt or move, then she would not be able to know if this was a flat object or simply a hole in the sky.

I don't believe I asked the wrong question. I asked her if she saw it move.

DUH!

Now why don't you go take a tranquilizer and get some sleep. rofl

If you would like to discuss anything seriously with me . . .

I can see by your picture you are incapable of discussing anything seriously. laugh laugh

In one of your own posts on this thread, you state, "I can't respond to this seriously because it appears to be some kind of humor."

Plenty of your own statements appear to me to be some kind of humor. That is why I laughed.

I assure you I was very serious.

I said: "If you would like to discuss anything seriously with me, I would appreciate it if you would not mix it with jokes. When you do, I then can't take any of it seriously. It is confusing. "

And you cut and pasted part of that: "If you would like to discuss anything seriously with me..."

and laughed.

I don't get the joke, sorry. But I don't really mind if you find what I say humorous.

Not at all.

I say some pretty wild things. People who can't handle the truth of what I say need to believe that its just a joke. I don't care really. Have a good laugh.

You have taken begging the question to a new level.

hmmm. could be the energy from their means of propulsion? etc radiation and scorch marks where they are supposed to have landed etc, i recommend reading up on what reality is too, its all subjective and a virtual reality made up by each individuals brain at the end of the day depending on the input:oP

Why do UFO's need lights on their crafts?

probably because everytime someone film a UFO they somehow only manage to have a crappy low resolution non-digital obsolete 200 year old camera... so the UFO tries to help by providing light

just like the guy that supposedly was stalking the Loch Ness Monster for 26 years and when he finally took a picture you still couldn't tell what it actually was...dude ...haven't you ever heard of a Tele-photo lens, they even have them for cellphones

but anyway getting back to UFOs for the sake of argument let's assume that it is an alien, the odds that aliens would be anything like a human would be astronomical especially since there are life forms on Earth that do not use light to see such as Bats

so since it's an alien and if one takes the human factor "sight" out of the equation then there are a number of logical possibilities why UFOs would have lights

one possibility is that light itself is the alien or need a focus beam of light to exist within

There are so many UFOs, and they travel so fast, the lights are to help keep them from running into each other!
