Every Sunday I call "Sunday Vacation". I start off with a 3 to 5 mile hike at 7am (listening to Club Phusion musc), usually followed by a Starbucks coffee and a massage. After I do yoga, I take a hot bath. I eat lots of pasta, rice, and sushi during the day. I listen to music, watch Netflix, do some self-reflection (with a few glasses of wine). If there are college football games on or baseball games on, I watch them. The point is, the day is used for "ME-time". I unwind from the week...decompress. My job is stressful so I need time to be alone and gather my own thoughts. Feels wond erful and I've been doing this every week all year. Hiking is good marathon training also.

Every morning I have a bowl of muesli with lite soymilk and sometimes dried or fresh fruit and arrive at the gym at 6AM. I spend an hour to
an hour and a half doing upper body, lower body and stretching exercises sometimes with some jogging or AMT elliptical, TRX and balancing exercises. I like bodyweight exercises, inverted row,
leg curls with ball, bench press on Smith machine, trap bar, leg
presses, situps and pullups and chinups but on any given day I might
work any machine in the place a bit.

I occasionally get a professional deep tissue massage to work out any
knots and it is great if it is very skilled.

I enjoy a balanced diet but the last few years I have been going more
and more for vegetarian whole food - vegan fare. It seems pretty clear
from the science on heart disease diets that a strict vegan non-dairy,
no-oil, meatless, fishless, egg free diet is the best for great heart
health and overall well-being and I think diet is probably more
important than the exercise but the exercise makes me feel great and
I really enjoy feeling good muscle tone and naturally tired at bedtime.

Occasionally I take a day off or workout in the afternoon or evening,
swim or bike or play tennis...

I've been training for the Rock n roll half marathon. Every week I increase my long run day, so I'm up to 10-12miles. I do 5-6 miles 2 other days of the week and some strength training, esp for my legs. Of course, I do a little yoga before and after. I don't deprive myself of any foods, but I am a healthy eater. I eat a lot of fish, pasta, nuts, green leafy veggies, strawberries, and avocado. Usually my body will tell me what it needs. I don't eat any "fake" foods or "fat free" stuff, I eat what I want but in moderation.

I do meditation and run every morning. If I come down with a nasty virus or flu or bug, then I fast with a liquid diet. Just boiled kettle water. It works wonders :)

MWF - Jump rope for five minutes followed by doing my Boflex's "20 minute workout." I reverse the order of the workout on Friday. I don't know why, but for some reason or another it actually takes 30 minutes to do the 20 minutes workout.

TTS - Jump rope, followed by ab crunches and a twenty minute "power walk" which covers about 2.25 to 2.5 miles (if the odometer on the tread mill is accurate).

Sunday "R&R Day." As the body should have time to heal I do no real exercise on Sunday, and try to get a nap in.

Results - all this does absolutely no good, as I have no idea of how to properly eat, and I love sweets.

laugh

I know the feeling. grumble

In reality though, the exercise still does me good. I feel better mentally and physically even though I'm still fat.

I go to the gym about 2 or three times a week, weights cardio, swimming. I also walk about 10 to 15 miles a week, usually two or three sessions. Every other weekend I go to Fullerton loop. A rural trail thats 15 miles. I usually do 10 miles every other weekend when I have a chance.

I train 5x a week, sometimes twice a day. My training regimen is split between 3 days devoted to compound lifts [i.e squat, deadlift, bench] and 2 days devoted to isolation work.

I do not do what is commonly considered "cardio" such as running. I keep my rest periods between training sets to an absolute minimum so as to keep my heart rate up. Thus, my weight training has a cardiovascular component to it.

Currently on a precontest diet. Very boring. Lots of chicken, brown rice, broccoli, egg whites, protein shakes, water, water and more water; that sort of thing. Needless to say, it sucks.

About 3 ounces of dark chocolate daily.

Every morning, bend down and pick up 2 cat dishes. Walk to refrigerator, fill dishes with food. Bend down and place dishes back on floor. Stand around while cats eat.

Repeat the same routine every evening.

Six days a week, open front door and plunge arm into mailbox, pull out any mail. Close door and walk to table. Scan mail and place all junk mail in wastebasket.

Every Friday, tote garbage bin to front of driveway for pickup. Friday evenings, walk to end of driveway and pull empty bin back again.

Sometimes I walk to the library, too.

I do interval workouts every other day (when I'm not being lazy. Ha.)
Run for 15 mins and core training for another,
And just repeat between cardio and strength.

I have speed skating practice twice a week and it's pretty much turned into a need for me. I NEED to skate. Everything disappears on the skate floor.
Other then that I get leg massages at my Chiropractor and take ice baths for recovery.

I love hot yoga. It's a great workout and I feel refreshed after, but the "getting rid of toxins" thing is something I've heard repeated and, as far as I know, it has no real basis in medical science, at least not to the degree that many claim.
