This is Breaking News on several new websites. There isn't an article posted yet but when there is I will put it in here.

I wonder what happened? I am guessing it's because of his health.

Pope Benedict XVI to resign at the end of February

Pope Benedict XVI will resign at the end of February, the Vatican Press Office tells Fox News.

The Associated Press reports the pope will resign on Feb. 28, and that the announcement Monday was a surprise to the Vatican.

A spokesman for the Vatican did not have any more information.

I think it was scripted for this one to leave the stage (right on cue). According to "prophecy", the next pope will preside over the destruction of (the city of) Rome.

"In the extreme persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit [i.e., as bishop].
Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations:
and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed,
and the terrible judge will judge his people.
The End."

My guess is that the parents of all the molested children are going to get up a lynch mob and raze the city. Could they be the "terrible judge" of the prophecy?

Q: If the Catholic Church ceases to exist, what becomes of the Vatican "treasure", currently guarded (held in trust) by Rothschild? (With the treasure being held by a banker, I guess we know the answer to that question eh? )

aren't Catholics/Christians supposed to die in the service or their lord, so the resignation can't be due to illiness, a grave incapacitated illiness would only be considered as a test of faith

perhaps the pope wants to die with a clear conscious after leading the flock astray in some way and the only way to do that is to resign

the Pope never called The Abrahamic God by the name he first uttered unto Moses and even banish the name from songs and prays

he refuse to call the son of the Abrahamic God by the name he commanded his followers to call his son which some has now turned into their God

this means that the entire religion is worshipping a name uttered by Man but not uttered by their Abrahamic God and in doing so are worshipping a false god and all are destine to the lake of Fire

or perhaps the Pope is just tired of wearing that Pope hat

I was born Catholic, and I can attest that there are many good and humble servants in the ranks. Be that as it may, I hold no faith in institutions. I wont throw stones and ask that you don't either. Evil lurks at every point of leverage in society. Think about that and look around. Love is the mission and the wisest form of protest.

asking people not to throw stones at the Catholic church is the same as asking them not to throw stones at the political parties ..also the church did try to hide child molesting priest and still do ..don't that deserve atleast one stone to be thrown

the pope resigning goes against everything the Catholic church is about, they preach to others that illiness is a test of faith, but yet resign because of illiness

there is something, not right that is taking place in the Vatican

OOPSIE!...I knew I should have said allegedly instead of "currently" when I set up my little bankster joke!

It is interesting to note that the Catholic church is in the business of "souls", so what would the real "treasure" of the vatican be if not all the records of live birth (which represents an estate to be inherited from God in accordance with Genesis) which are held in trust by governments and monetized thru central banks, while the "inheritors" of the earth incompetently contract themselves into servitude to the state and therefore give the state power of attorney over them as incompetent children of the state, thus leaving their estates in trust with the state to (mis)manage as they see fit for the rest of the saps' lives. It's legal, but deceitful as hell and unlawful in the sense that it .

Kinda funny to build an entire system of economic and political governance on the stupid beliefs of long dead priests doncha think?...Oh well...It sucks practically everyone in and gives power & wealth to comparatively few and seems to have worked for centuries...Why derail the gravy train eh?
