That means a smoker who knows its disgusting, and can't break the habit and is in denial about how often they actually smoke, and they don't want to "lie" and say they "don't smoke." A pot smoker doesn't give a chit.

Pot...Haven't heard that in awhile. G'damn juvenile delinquents and their heathen marijuana cigarettes! No, but it could mean they just smoke socially or some s...I've known a few people who only smoke when out with friends. Or maybe they are talking about smoking every once in awhile in a violent sense? Hell, f if I know, ask them.

I’ve been known to smoke a cig or two on the rare occasion that I’m out with my old friends who still smoke. That’s usually 1-5 times a year, and I don't kiss THEM with tongue! Same goes for drinking. I’ll have a drink on a special occasion, so counting special dates, weddings, celebratory party of some kind...maybe 5-10 drinks a year. I'm not likely to become a party animal and would rather not date somone I have to carry home from our date.

How would it be synonymous with smoking Pot? Confused.com. I would take "Occasionally" for exactly what it stands for. Otherwise the dictionary was being a hypocrite all along.
