Hoped you'd love it :) After all everyone can and should enjoy the Goddesses! ( sometimes it doesn't feel okay to share while it's still doing it's thing, but this just needed to be shared :) )
I particularly like my MM and Gaia figurine :)

Yes, it's one of my paintings. NOrmally I have a painting of a budding hawthorn branch up there, as that is one of my faves, but I recently swapped it for the winter scene :)

Wow! You are a very talented artist!

I know what you mean about sharing while it's going on. I usually feel okay sharing pics of rituals I have going if I'm not casting a spell. If it's only a celebration ritual, I usually feel okay sharing. And I'm so glad you did because your altar is beautiful!

I always have Hecate, Brigid and Our Lady of Guadalupe (Mary) on my altars. Although Hecate has her very own. I love the way you incorporate the crystals into your arrangement.

Looks wonderful! And I see you got crystals too :) Lovely flowers!
I love crystals, got them everywhere.
You even seen crystal skulls, maybe got some?

I've tried to work with Hecate as well at some point, but it just didn't work out for me. I don't feel connected to her. Used to have this connection with the Morrigu, but that phase is over as well.
Now I like to work with Ascended Masters. Quan Yin and Kuthumi mainly, sometimes others, and I got this thing with Archangel Uriel.
When other call on AA Michael, I call on Uriel.

So weird, drawing a circle doesn't really work for me anymore either. I did with Samhain, but it just didn't feel comfy, not necessary.
A couple years ago someone told me she never used outer means of protection, she used her own light and energy to protect from the inside out. And I didn't really get it at the time, I didn't feel really safe without the circle. Now I do.
During my Samhain ritual I was annoyed by the candles, they were in the way, chuckle.
Did make a circle once with crow's feather, adding the crow/raven medicine to the ritual. Phew!!

No I don't have any crystal skulls although I'd love to have one. I have a fair amount of crystals and some larger ones I keep on the altar.

Hecate has been with me from the beginning of my days as a witch. She sort of "claimed" me. I work with others goddesses but she governs my path as it pertains to being a witch and a psychic. I think it's true that there are gods and goddesses we work with at different points in our journey. But so far, Hecate has stayed close to me.

I don't cast circles either. I have never found the need to. I work in my home or out in nature and both are already sacred spaces to me. I sage the room I'm in at the beginning of any ritual and that feels like enough.

My hedgewitch teach worked with Hecate as well, that's why I decided to do some work with her, but it just didn't 'click'.
I once did a ritual with her to do with finding your way and direction. Did it on a crossroads, all I remember is getting dizzy from turning turning turning, haha laugh

Too bad we live that far apart, I still got sage and white sage. I don't use it myself, I really can't stand the smell ohwell

Haha, the broom and kitties is funny

I can't get myself to do a ritual, and as the portal activation that is at its peak today, has to do with the feminine energies, I decided to get all my goddess figurines downstairs, set them up and burn incense and candles.

So I got Gaia, Anuket, Mary, Mary Magdalene, Lilith, Lakshmi. Left back (tall statue) Aradia and right back (plaque) Hecate.
Two chalices, one of my cauldrons with )O( design, and three smaller pewter goddess figurines in the front.
I selected a few crystals to go with it and a pink and purple candle. Painting is mine and I noticed the golden sun & moon (wall) is in it too :) Happy coincidence.

Just now was able to get to see this on my laptop instead of my phone. It is even more beautiful than I realized.

And, the painting, do you sell your work?

Can I post your picture on my Facebook page as an example of a beautiful altar? It's okay if you don't want me to. flowerforyou

It's okay if you want to use the picture, Ruth :)

Most of my paintings are for sale, but a number of them are inspired by Bob Ross and many people recognize the style and then feel they're not worth anything much.
I done a lot of Bob Ross style paintings as I love the way he works, and he had a real good eye for colours, light and dark etc.
Furthermore a number of my paintings have an intuitive aspect and not everyone likes that.

I did something completely different the other day, needed to get something out my system :p
Used acrylics, which is unusual for me, I always use oil-paint.

New Moon on New Year, wow, didn't know that!

That is so beautiful! Green is my favorite color and that piece is so soothing to me. In a very joyful way.

My mom is an artist so I understand about how one particular style or piece of art is not for everyone. I really like what you've done. flowerforyou

Thank you :)
I hope to one day do a workshop based on elements and/or colours. Having people explore how they react to and feel about the elements (Earth, Fire, Air, Water and Ether) and I would so much love to work with colours, as in colour therapy!
My plan is to use a number of my paintings for that, and this spring green one would be ideal!
I didn't get why I needed several canvases and the acrylics, but I think I am supposed to make more paintings, intuitively, with warm colours, for a colour therapy workshop.
I made another one, yellow with an angelic figure in it. I think there's going to be a blue and red one as well.

This element / colour workshop has been on my mind for a few years, maybe it's time to start doing it!

Enjoy New Years Eve tomorrow!
I'm gonna do what Cuddlebunny talked about in another topic: whatever happens on New Years Eve is basically how your whole year will go.

So have your house clean, give lots of hugs to your children, smile, eat healthy and take a long deep breath and relax

So I'm going to pay attention to that, I find it an intriguing thought, guess it has to do with the Law of Attraction.

I'd say it's definitely time to start doing it!

It's been a rough few years for myself and a lot of folks I know. But, I feel a lot more peaceful about 2014. Like things may stabilize and we can make progress on our goals without too much drama and emotional turmoil.

I have been sick for weeks and I'm finally starting to feel a bit better. Hoping that's a good sign. May even head out for a short hike this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Hope your New Year is going well so far. flowerforyou

HOpe you're feeling better!

2014 feels good and promising, although I notice the energies are turbulent, but I think (feel) in a positive way :)
I've been reading so much lately about Law of Attraction, being positive and also doing what your soul yearns to do instead of thinking and dreaming about it, but not doing it.
So I decided to become more active (which I had planned to do this new year anyway) and I ordered some books on colour therapy :) I looked into a couple of courses, but they don't offer what I'm looking for. I realized there's different goals when using colour therapy and the courses didn't match mine.
So I found a couple really nice books, and will get some others from the library as well. Lot cheaper than a course, haha, and I feel these books will give me the info I need.
And everything else I've done, learnt and do, will be a nice addition to colour therapy: aura & chakras, crystals, painting, basic knowledge of colours and so on. Even had a relationship with a pro lighting tech, who of course also knew a lot about colours.
Weird how this has been right under my nose and I didn't see it?!

Anyway, did you get around to doing a ritual on New Year's day, the new moon?
I didn't do anything much, that day felt quite erm ... chaotic. So I just let it be.
Have a good day!
