The hedgewitch who's apprentice I was for a couple of years was into Hecate as well. I done some work with her, but never could really connect to her.
At the time I was working with The Morrigu a lot. And even though that was part of a phase (investigating and working on my shadows) I still feel this connection.
I always felt it was a shame most ppl only know about the so called dark side of The Morrigu, the war goddess, death etc. while she is so much more than just that. Triple goddess, life, death, healing, fresh water etc.
At the time I was searching, researching, became a member of some Morrigu Yahoo group. All the members were depressed, traumatized by awful things (rape, abusive relationships, suicide attempts and so on) and totally obsessed by the Morrigu. According to them you could never be set free once you became a disciple (something like that), you became Hers for good.
I got in a bit too deep, as I wanted to know more, learn more. Thank god managed to get out, lot of heavy, dark energies, very unpleasant and quite freaky. I was quite a novice back then, didn't know what I got myself in to :s

The other day, during my Samhain ritual, I sent some dark, black winged thing away. Wasn't attached to me or my energy but to someone else whom I had invited in my circle. First time I ever did something like that without second thought or doubt, just did it. Quite proud of myself (I always had this deep fear "what if they are stronger???"
So for me doing this was an important step :) )

Sorry for the tome, but just nice to be able to share stuff with like-minded ppl

Don't be sorry. I love to hear about others' journeys and experiences. We all have so much in common and yet very different stories to tell. flowerforyou

I think paganism is no different than any other religion in that it's easy to stumble across very dangerous groups of people. One must be careful when entering into any kind of group working or ritual. I don't care whether your joining your local Baptist congregation or a coven of witches. People are people and one must be cautious. I was with a coven briefly back in 2006. I learned a lot and still have one very good friend from that group. But I will be unlikely to ever work within the coven setting again. Never say never though, right?

Aradia, queen of witches, and Lord of the Wildwoods

Shaman instruments (got an ocean drum as well)

Me with my shop attending a 3 day Lughnassad event. Outdoors, so rent-a-tent in case of bad weather, haha

Okay so this is kind of a joke and kind of not. I really do wear pajamas because they are comfortable and I'm always indoors and alone when I do ritual. However, I should probably think about stepping up my game a bit and getting something more formal.
