That picture is great, hahahaha, Wiccapedia, lol.

This is so interesting! I have not worked with fairies. Nor have I worked much with trees. Did you work outdoors specifically with them or how did you do it?

I love working with crystals! I don't think I could get through my day without them and I rely heavily on my black tourmaline in the office. I also wear bracelets with whatever stones I need for day. Or earrings. Red carnelian is the stone I use when I absolutely have to get work done and I'm not feeling up to it.

I mostly did outdoors. Just started to tune in to trees, first just one (type), so I'd get familiar with that feeling and energy, then move to another. Once you open yourself up to trees, it will become easier to feel their energies.
Basically you should pick one tree that you want to get to know and work with that one for a bit. Don't walk up to it straight away, keep your distance (few meters) and slow your energy down: Ours is faster than theirs so the tree won't be happy if you approach it to communicate with your fast energy.
Next tune in to the tree and ask if he/she wants to communicate. Simply feel and you will know the answer. If yes, walk up to the tree and communicate, feel, put your hands on the trunk, feel the bark etc. Feel what the energy does to you, what does it feel like? Playful, serious, calming, grounding, uplifting? Etc etc
Once your familiar with that one tree, you can try another. Trees are like ppl, the overall qualities of one type, i.e. oak, is similar (grounding, calming, strong), but each oak has his own 'character' as well. And sometimes trees are grumpy, or resting, or simply not willing to communicate, at that moment.
I had my oak in the woods, he'd always support me, I could lean on him, find my centre again, but he was sort of hibernating in winter.
His energies turned inwards, so then I respected that and let him be.

At some point my hedgewitch 'teacher' suggested I'd make a powerstick. So I opened my heart to finding the right piece of wood for that. Now you can cut of a piece of wood, after you've asked permission, but I never liked doing that. I hoped to found a branch or stick that had broken off naturally. And I did. It looked horrible, the bark was moldy and yukked but I knew I had to take it home anyway. Tried to strip the bark off, couldn't get it done. With help of a druid I learned that you either steep the bark with oil and let it soak, or you put the wood in water for a few days. I did the latter, as oil didn't work either (and I got so p*ssed off, hahaha). After 3, 4 days in the bathtub, I could easily strip it and the wood underneath was gorgeous! It turned out I had found myself a stick of hawthorn, which is one of the hardest types of wood (its harder than oak!). It has a very very fine grain (you can barely see it), absolutely beautiful when you sand and polish it!
For some reason or other I only worked on my powerstick when I was very upset and very angry, chuckle. I think it's some 5'2" tall.

I also have a hawthorn wand, that's my main wand. When I stripped that of its bark, I found that the lines in the grain looked like a deer's head.

Fairies was both outdoors and indoors.

I love carnelian :) Bought a nice piece of Madagascar carnelian (the real dark type) when I was in Glastonbury.
But my all time favourite is citrine. Natural citrine, so the very light type.

Thank you. I am actually going to print this out and try it on my next hike. flowerforyou

I love citrine too. I make an energy cleanser using citrine. I'll go get the recipe to post.

Because it's not always possible to burn sage to cleanse an area, I keep a small spray bottle of this water in my purse.

You will need:
A small spray bottle (you can find these with the travel size shampoos and toiletries)

Spring water (rain water, filtered water or any other non-chlorinated water)

Fresh rue or fresh sage

Sea salt

Any crystal chips you would like to add for their properties

Put a sprig of the herb in the bottle. Fill the bottle with your water. Let sit for several hours (you can also make a tea). You don't want to leave it in there because it will eventually make the water get yucky.

Remove the herb. Add a pinch of sea salt and any crystals you want.

Your water is now ready to use. Use it to wipe down your desk at work, clean the dust off your altar or just spray in the air when too much negativity is building up around you.

Recipe and photo by me. happy

I post my recipes and chants on my Facebook page and encourage others to contribute their ideas. www.facebook.com/pages/Tarot-For-You/165152177024127

Nice :) Thanks for sharing!

When I moved into my house last year, I cleansed it thoroughly and after that I put an energetic lock on it. Almost took me an entire afternoon.
Now I occasionally cleanse, but I'm on my own, so don't get a lot of foreign energies in here and I know the lock is still strong, so the occasional cleansing is enough. Got a lot of crystals and crystal skulls, I guess that helps as well, in case of ...

Also done something good in my garden. The left-hand side corner at the back didn't feel nice at all. Not bad as in evil, just "dead", stale and stagnant. All the cats, both mine as the neighbourhood cats, sprayed and peed there.
I wanted a labyrinth in my garden, one you can walk, and I wanted it in that corner. I chose to make Archimedes spiral, as another form of labyrinth would eat up too much space.
It's not done yet, but that corner now feels great! When I had put the first section in, one of my cats made a beeline for it, and it became one of his fave hang-outs, haha.
No cat ever sprayed or peed there anymore, bizarre or wot!

The first time I walked it, something weird happened when I entered the centre of the spiral. Someone later on told me that spirals need to be opened and activated, so that was what had happened :)

Maybe you can feel it when you tune in to the piccies before and after:

This is how far I got. The sticks in the middle are what I need to get the geometry right, so they won't go till it's done.

That is so cool! What a great way to use that space.

And, I love your cat. How long have you had him? I have two cats. One I've had for 14 years and the other for 3. They are both weird. laugh

It's so nice to be able to talk "shop" with someone again. flowerforyou

Yeah, indeed very nice to talk shop with someone! I notice I've really missed that!

I got three cats, two brothers, this one is Bailey, both 4 years old. The other one is 10, currently in a shelter, I'm trying to get him out without costs (some d***head phoned them saying it was a stray :( )
All three males, not handy, too much ego in one home, haha.

Anyone want to share their experience with love spells? I have only cast one for myself using this chant I wrote. (I don't share my spells but I do share chants. It wouldn't matter even if I did because it's important to customize your own ritual).

I'll be back later to discuss the topic more if anyone wants. I love hearing how spellcraft has worked or failed with others. I have had plenty of successes and failures! laugh

I've only done a love spell once, when I was in a relationship and things weren't working out that well.
I also wrote a spell, I think on parchment, put it in a pouch. I cannot remember the rest of the ritual though. (Think I did it some 7, 8 years ago)

I like the love ritual you posted here :)

I've only done one once as well and it worked amazing. I thought about it many times over the years after my divorce, but whenever I started to do one, I couldn't go through with it. I knew, somewhere deep down, I wasn't ready. Of course, that didn't stop me from dating. But my relationships were brief because, again....I just wasn't ready.

I really like the balloon one, too. Wish I had a need to do another one because it looks fun. happy
