Ok, so... plain and simple I need to know how to get the smell of butt out of a leather chair.
You see, I have had this leather computer chair for a VERY LONG time, and naturally it has been farted on numerous times. As a consequence of such now it kinda smells funny/like butt. The problem is, this is my work computer chair, so I just can't get a new one or do a huge scrub down either. I was thinking maybe lysol wipes, but I'm not too sure that would really help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks in advance! |

Why are you sniffing your chair in the first place ? {i have to wonder} Lmao...it must smell pretty bad then......Vinegar it will even take the smell of smoke off of items that have been in a fire...Firemen use it on their suits to take the smoke smell out.... Use it either full force or mixed with water... Got this from my son-in-law that is a Fireman~~~  I have put it in a bowl when my daughter burned popcorn in the microwave works like a charm......

actually Murphy's Oil Soap would be your BEST bet.. it cleans leather and vinyl so a few quick wipes with a damp cloth, let dry.. and VOILA.. instant nice smelly chair!!

oh yeah.. it doesn't dry out the leather either cuz it's oil based

Hey, if none of those remedies worked, well you can always get that round "stick on" type air freshener (that you stick to the "bathroom throne") and stick it under the chair. They still make those things right?
