Distractions. Try to have as many as possible. That way you will not have time to philosophize.

Little bits and stuff and things....like watching bees...trying to spat my favourite cardinal...my kids laughter...smelling rain...

Keeping life as simple as possible. Religion helps me. And like Edy pointed out, nature can also be great to observe, feel and absorb.

My happy life revolves around a sense of accomplishment in what I do, love in my family circle, the comeradery of supportive friends and indulging in fun activities on occassion.

I just appreciate what I got. I may not be wealthy....But, I got the good stuff that no amount of money can buy. I got the love of my beautiful woman. I got a great family who loves me. I got a dog who is always thrilled to see me. I got good friends. I walk on the beach every morning. My life is better than I deserve. I am very grateful.

Secret leading to a happy life? Being down to earth; doing good deeds; stop complaining instead learn to appreciate life, that everyday is a brandnew day to be shared to your love ones :)

Such as when things are really bad, how do they make them worse? Does the fact that optimists outnumber the pessimists make them feel more miserable? If a miserable person sees the light at the end o the tunnel and it is an oncoming train, does that make them happy or not? Does a miserable person celebrate that the glass is not only half empty but chipped also ? What do people think is the true meaning of misery is? Is it money, cars, women? Or is it money and women or just women?
