It's always easier to label and defame than to debate with intelligence or admit error.

Obozos' presidential race card plays like a child screaming rape or abuse..... who needs proof when you have media and a bully pulpit!

Playing the race card all the time is an act of intellectual laziness.

As a rule, before assuming that a party is motivated by race, one needs to make sure that all other possibilities have been eliminated.

The exception to the rule occurs when the party openly claims to be motivated by race.

Is opposition to Obamacare motivated by race, or is it motivated by the negative things that Obamacare does?

It is far easier intellectually to cry "Racism!" than it is to acknowledge the existence of those negative things and to deal with them.

Is President Obama's current low approval rating due to racism, or is it due to the negative consequences of his policies?

It is far easier intellectually to cry "Racism!" than it is to acknowledge the existence of those negative consequences and to deal with them.

Sure, some people have been displaying Obama Derangement Syndrome, but is racism the blame for it?

When George W. Bush occupied the Oval Office, plenty of liberals and Democrats displayed Bush Derangement Syndrome. So, was Bush the victim of racism?

Some of the people crying "Racism!" would have us to believe that President Obama is the only American President who ever received the kind of bashing that he has received.

Such people either have short memories, or they were living under rocks during the administration of GWB, because GWB was subjected to all sorts of vitriol.

I agree, if the shoe doesn't fit, one cannot wear it

many of the criticism that some espouse against Obama are consistent and therefore have merit

others are for things that have been done before by other presidents who they espouse loyal admiration for in the same breath

that criticism is HYPOCRITICAL,, and yes,, if the only difference between the two doing the same action is the race, ID have to imagine the difference in the judgement of that action is racist at some level

the article refers to those for whom the shoe fits,,,flowerforyou

Oh, OK.

So, why did Barack Obama speak against raising the national debt limit while he was in the U.S. Senate? Now that he is POTUS, he favors raising the national debt limit. Why the hypocrisy?

see, that was called learning from experience,, he called an action out negatively and then saw it was sometimes necessary

he didn't support an action and then turn around and PERSONALLY DDEMONIZE ,EXPRESS HATRED FOR and CONDEMN others who did it,,

this is true,, and I personally don't bother as much with the john doe/jane doe personal racism that may be in peoples hearts

I am concerned however with INSTITUTIONAL racism , if there is a cultural acceptance of certain stereotypes and attitudes that validate those in powers of oppression to continue to oppress,,

You are correct to say "if", because you keep referring to something that may not be as nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

Meanwhile, real acts of modern-day racism remain ignored because of who is committing the acts.

African-American economist Thomas Sowell writes the following.

For American society, a dangerous polarization has set in. Signs of this polarization over the years include opposite reactions between blacks and whites to verdicts in the O.J. Simpson murder case, the "rape" charges against Duke University students, and trials resulting from the beating of Rodney King and the death of Trayvon Martin.

More dangerous than these highly publicized episodes over the years are innumerable organized and unprovoked physical attacks on whites by young black gangs in shopping malls, on beaches and in other public places all across the country today.

While some of these attacks make it into the media as isolated incidents, the nationwide pattern of organized black on white attacks by thugs remains invisible in the mainstream media, with the notable exception of Bill O'Reilly on the Fox News Channel.

Even when these attacks are accompanied by shouts of anti-white rhetoric and exultant laughter at the carnage, the racial makeup of the attackers and their victims is usually ignored by the media, and public officials often deny that race has anything to do with what happened.

These attacks have sent many people to the hospital, and some have died, but the attacks are often carried out in a festive atmosphere. What are called "troubled youths," in this and other contexts, are often in fact young people enjoying themselves greatly by creating big trouble for others.

Some of these many attacks are covered in detail in a book titled "White Girl Bleed A Lot" by Colin Flaherty. It was a phrase that I recognized immediately, from my own previous research.

That phrase was uttered by one of a group of black attackers who descended on a group of whites at a July 4th fireworks show in Milwaukee. But what happened there was not unique, either in itself or in the efforts of police and political authorities to play down what happened -- and to say that race had nothing to do with it.

When the Chicago Tribune was criticized for editing out the race of the attackers in a series of similar organized attacks in Chicago, it replied that race was irrelevant. Yet race is not considered irrelevant when indignantly editorializing on a disproportionate number of young black males arrested and imprisoned.

racism is part of every culture... when a black hires another black, is it racism or being pro black? spanish, whites, blacks, whatever, most races will help their own first, which is not racism...

here is the significant part of that whole text

Yet race is not considered irrelevant when indignantly editorializing on a disproportionate number of young black males arrested and imprisoned

but race IS considered most times people use the reference to how there is a 'disproportionate number' of young black males arrested and imprisoned

its not about who is committing crimes,, we know crimes will happen and we EXPECT justice to be dealt

the issue usually gains press when there is an indication that for reasons which sometimes seem like they are racial or classist in nature,,,, that JUSTICE WILL NOT BE DEALT

like for a man who is being brutalized by a gang of cops
or an unarmed teen who is shot dead by a male with a record of aggression who has stalked him while carrying a gun

and it seems like there is more of a tendency for justice to be dealt 'disproportionately' more often against young black males than any other,,,

,,,,,,but I know,, this significant issue will continue to escape the minds of some who think its just about whether a crime is interracial in its nature,,,

it is white privilege when the majority race is white,, and the tendency to help ones own first is ingrained in the society , in the justice system, in the educational system, in the healthcare system, in the media,,,

it is racism and privilege which concerns me when it is a matter of justice, housing, employment or education which is not and should not be just about 'their own'

One form of institutional racism is called Affirmative Action. It uses race to determine if a person will be granted something.

If one speaks against the institutional racism called Affirmative Action, then I will believe that one is seriously opposed to institutional racism.

actually , that is NOT What affirmative action does

educate yourself on what the laws actually state, instead of the fearmongering propaganda people spread about what they THINK It says

there is no affirmative action policy that grants PREFERENCE Based upon race,, that's the opposite of what it does which is to make sure there is INCLUSION of the previously excluded group in the OPPORTUNITY,,,,

so no, 'one' will not be speaking against affirmative action, which considering thoughts like those above and in other threads, in a majority white country with the oppressive history of America,, is VERY Necessary,,,
