So................no one wants my number??  But, but, we just assumed you were #1.. Doh!  That's right! Man, it's tough being numero uno, some days.

I get those msgs but i always just agree to kik or whatsapp them I nvr give out my number.

yeah I have moved it over to email, then FB , then phone. Its a process..only 1 made it through though
 ...and that didnt work out. Well, Maybe I'll start making them fill out applications first

I still trust him with that kind of stuff. It just amazes me that someone I barely chatted with would through his number so openly at me and say lets text instead!

Some of these dating sites have an optional usages for phone conversations with other members such as match. But it is cheaper to get a 2nd.phone for that purpose! And in meeting them for the 1st. time its more logical to get directions from!! As i said in another forum on here" I know me- but i don't know you until we meet for awhile!! It needs an awful lot, before I give out my number. Trust, yeah. And only two people on Mingle have it.

Not very many people have my number as Lars said it takes an awful lot for me to give it. So if you have it or my email that means something.

But I don't trust anyone who sends me a phone number right away. Or an email address, for that matter. |

(I have a land line, and an unlisted number shows up that way) A land line can be traced to a physical location in a way that a cell phone can't, therefore, no...you don't get my number until we establish some sort of freindship or whatever...whether we are compatible, and have met first... I *have* gotten a Google Voice number for those more pesky cases..and sometimes I will giove that out if I *have* met them and still not sure... It has ZERO to do with trust.. We are not children here, and daily there are stories of people being attacked, assaluted, or whatever by people they don't know/ barely know.. If I have learned anything over the last 40 years..it is to trust people intially LESS, not more... |

I keep trash accounts for that purpose that I can delete if need be. My personal cell number; just before the meet and greet after a number of messages.

The last few times I logged on here I have had a few messages from guys just giving me their numbers and asking me to call or text instead of chatting on here. I dont like that, I want to first determine if you are real before I give out ANY info. Any one else get that? Do you risk it just to get to know someone?? I never leave the site until I'm sure it's a real person and they are likely to be serious. I have a free "throw away" number for texting I give before I give them my actual number. |
