The last time i met someone touched they were in a psychiatric ward and claiming to be Jesus. More people have died in the name of christ than any other person hardly someone worthy of worship much less reverence.. Not arguing as ignorance is not amenable to reason only based on faith from which no thought or reason is needed or asked for lest most tenets are as honest as the tooth fairy, and santa clause...

The bible is an accumulation of writings by many unidentified people describing events and conversations that they cannot be shown to have witnessed. Those writings were made decades or generations after the supposed events and the writers' sources of information are unknown. Three hundred years after Jesus died committees of churchmen under the direction of Roman emperors decided what was to be included in a "unifying document" (to reduce disagreements within the church) that became known as the bible. They selected material that suited the purposes of the emperors and themselves, rejecting documents having different viewpoints. The religion became the official religion of the Roman empire.

The Old Testament is taken directly from the Jewish Torah but is interpreted by Christians differently than by Jews. The New Testament was added and Jesus was introduced as the messiah promised by Judaism (but not accepted by Jews as such). Jesus was evidently a preacher (Jewish rabbi) who gained a following for a short time before being executed for sedition (rebelling against Roman rule and against Jewish Temple priests).

After Jesus died his followers created a splinter group religion (contrary to what Jesus is said to have wanted), claimed that he came back to life and then went away, and told stories about him performing "miracles" (that were not reported anywhere but in the religious writings – and cannot be shown to be true). It is claimed that the storied miracles and resurrection proved that Jesus was divine. Not everyone agrees.

Many regard the bible as the word of god – although it was written, edited, transcribed, and repeatedly revised by humans telling their opinions and stories about god. The thousands of Christian sects, denominations, cults, splinter groups do not agree about which version of the bible to use or about how it is to be interpreted (but all seem convinced they alone are right).

There is some good advice in the bible and some terrible advice, some useful rules for living and some rules that are irrational, some wisdom and some ignorance, some stories about love and compassion and many stories about killing and warfare (even genocide).

The bible's information, not necassarily Jesus being God or anything of such, but the incidents that happen in through the scriptures have many external sources backing that those things actually happened. For a simple example - Jesus' crucifixion. A man truly lived by the name of Jesus and was crucified for the things that the scriptures claim.

Nobody can find God by reading the bible, it's a good start to learn about God, but nevertheless you can't find him there in that exact context. Not like for example an atheist reads the scriptures and all of a sudden everything makes sense. Takes work, time, and desire to find.

How do the scriptures suite the purposes of the emperors? It's not like the scriptures say obey the government without question or giving them any specific power over any specific person(s).

John well is my opinion.God is real and Jesus is real to me likewise his word . The bible everything that has happened and is happening now is written in the bible.I don't know much about those that wrote the Bible but I know if Bible is written for selfish interest it will not so pure.

If you read about the Council of Nicea in 325ad you wiill see that after Constantines conversion he was sure Yahweh was on his side. He wanted this to be a state religion as many aspects between Roman soldiers who Practiced Zorastrism with thier Messiah Being Mithra who baptised in Blood. Then the pagan Sun worship.
Both Pagans and Zorastrism worship the beginning of life coming back again after the winter soltice. Mithra birthday was celebrated on the 25th of Dec the same day as the pagans under constantines control.

Mixing the religions and some giving and some getting. The jews were decided to seperate from them by showing the Torah as not needed in this blended religion. Sunday was also worshipped by both the groups not the believers. Passover was changed to Easter or o ester as the OT calls her the Queen of Heaven. It was chaged from the death of the messiah to a Queen of Heaven bringing in spring as this was a fertility festival to.. This is why we see Bunny Rabbits and egs today on Easter.

So much was done about the Cannon at that time. Those thier is History on who taught the 7th day Sabbath and Constantine put out a decree if you worshipped on the sabbath and was not a jew you were to be executed. It's good to be the Emperor.

All these suited the Emperor to control the masses. 1 religion 1 faith less conflict and he would be more informed on those who disobeyed him

Why refer to irrelevant things? You will not find anything in the scriptures that suggest that should be done. That is merely a person's actions and doesn't reflect the actual belief in itself.

Where is this evidence that it was "mixed"? And again, what blended religion? And did they say it was not neeeded? Because I do believe the first part of the bible is the tora eg., old testament lol.

And it's not that the tora wasn't needed, just that it was fulfilled, completed, finished through Jesus' crucifixion. And so yeah then making it irrelevant, obsolete.

The Sabbath is not relevent?

when John wrote this was he changing the sabbath?

Rev 12:17
17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
NKJV

Now what are the commandments of Yahweh? What is the Testimony?

This is very relevent. Constantine was the 1st Pope not Peter. Constantine changed the Sabbath you can not find it changed until him.

Anyone who keeps Sunday Sabbath is a Follower of the Popes church.

The mixing was christmas, easter and Sunday worship. All Pagan and Zorastorian worship. we got a savior they got the days of worship.

That is mixing religion do any search about christmas and it will show you.

The Torah was always spiritual and i guess Yahshua's sermon on the Mount about the law he was just joking.. He was explaining u need to learn through the physical to really understand the spiritual.. anyway why did Yahshua say this?

Matt 5:21-22

"You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.' 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother,'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says,'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
NKJV

Matt 5:27-30

"You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.' 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
NKJV

These laws are no good today?

Now you're taking verses out of context. You do realize "Revelations" are prophecies right? The Sabbath was created -
Genesis 2
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

This is very relevent. Constantine was the 1st Pope not Peter. Constantine changed the Sabbath you can not find it changed until him.

Again no, God had created the Sabbath when he created everything else, no man created the sabbath.

Genesis 2
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Matt 5:21-22

"You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.' 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. NKJV

Nothing necassarily "changed" here, just got more intense. He said in the old days eg., the laws of "Torah" or the "old laws". We were judged for actually committing the sin. Now it's more strict that whosoever even thinks about doing it has already committed it in their heart.

Same with the other verse.

The bible is an accumulation of writings by many unidentified people describing events and conversations that they cannot be shown to have witnessed.

They selected material that suited the purposes of the emperors and themselves, rejecting documents having different viewpoints. The religion became the official religion of the Roman empire

How do the scriptures suite the purposes of the emperors? It's not like the scriptures say obey the government without question or giving them any specific power over any specific person(s).

So much was done about the Cannon at that time. Those thier is History on who taught the 7th day Sabbath and Constantine put out a decree if you worshipped on the sabbath and was not a jew you were to be executed. It's good to be the Emperor.

Why refer to irrelevant things? You will not find anything in the scriptures that suggest that should be done. That is merely a person's actions and doesn't reflect the actual belief in itself.

Mixing the religions and some giving and some getting. The jews were decided to seperate from them by showing the Torah as not needed in this blended religion.

NKJV

These laws are no good today?

when John wrote this was he changing the sabbath?

Rev 12:17
17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
NKJV

And whoever says to his brother,'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says,'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
NKJV

Nothing necassarily "changed" here, just got more intense. He said in the old days eg., the laws of "Torah" or the "old laws". We were judged for actually committing the sin. Now it's more strict that whosoever even thinks about doing it has already committed it in their heart.

Same with the other verse.

your right i have no idea about what the chosen will be doing when Yahshua comes back.. Christmas I Bet

How do the scriptures suite the purposes of the emperors? It's not like the scriptures say obey the government without question or giving them any specific power over any specific person(s).

you know why... control by fear... the same way your church controls you..

There is absolutely no control by fear, control by fear is impossible in this form of obedience. It's a choice to be obedient or not, and in the end we will be judged on how we lived. One has to believe first in this before it has any form of control or effect on them in any way possible.

And my church doesn't control me. If a church said to do this or that and or possibly behave this way or that way I would tell them no and just do as God has informed us how to be. Not saying I'm pure and obedient 100% of the time, I fail my God daily unfortunately. But nevertheless it's God I listen to, not some church or "organization".

Through prayer and the bible, a book that contains the knowledge needed for the knowledge to please our Lord.

God only wants us to love everyone. Outside of that there is very little to no "instructions".

Although no one knows what any of the proposed "gods" might want, many claim to have such knowledge after reading a book by unknown ancient promoters of religion who claimed they knew or listening to lectures by people who claim to know (after reading the same book).

"Play nicely with each other" may be good advice (most of the time) but organized religions typically go far beyond that with instructions and commandments and proclaiming a wide variety of things as "sin."

It seems almost inherent in organized religions to inflict their beliefs on others by force of law. "Love one another" may not be objectionable, but "You must do this and not do that" based on religious preferences and opinions is objectionable to many.

The bible is factionary, it doesn't even make sense the way the story is put. A 5year old can tell that, wake up people.
