if a man needs to hurt a woman to feel good, then he has serious mental issues.

I would say the same for either gender, actually.

Im sure when men or women hurt each other, some of them feel good about it.

A smart person finds it unacceptable and simply leaves.

Now ..at my age and maturity...this^^^^is so true.
Walking away from the situation or relationship is the best solution.

This is true too..I agree..
And walking away does not mean
I'm~your giving up
It means I~you, have had enough.
In agreement with you can't keep
Putting up with being someone's option
When you stop being their priority.
Is just self inflicted hurt.

I agree totally with this, I think it becomes a feeling of indifference.

.. personally I hate to hurt anybody's feelings.. men or women.. I still regret every person's feelings I've ever hurt to this day... it makes me feel like less of a person... in my business dealings. I have! had to let go of both men and women.. and I realize it's just business.. so to speak... but there are nights where I wake up feeling horrible.... I know that's a little off topic.
. but feelings are feelings... and we all have them............ well almost all of .us..lol..jk...flowerforyou

if it gets to that point where one is getting hurt, mental or physical, then it is time to pack the bags.. problem is that people don't really realize it until it's developed into something thats more painful...he/she says they love me, they didn't mean to say/do that... thats the self inflected part because the victim is confused, and the aggressor won't stop...

I don't intend to, but they don't listen to what I say.

I make it perfectly clear from the onset that a relationship is not anywhere in my near future, they hear/see something else, this is not my problem...I literally tell them I am not looking for a relationship, still, they hear/see something different.

I'm not even vague about it...

Men that hurt women are generally insecure with their masculinity and ability to perform. Whether it be in their role as provider, father, or lover, etc., they do gain some type of perverted pleasure through the abuse of their power/alpha position.

They are also easily recognizable by most women who've encountered these types of passive/aggressive men, and can be just as easily avoided.

If you watch the way men talk to women just on this site you can tell which ones have the potential to be abusive partners.

There are also decent and respectful men here, and their true colors come shining through too.

Best of luck in your interactions and experiences on Mingle2. flowerforyou

There are no gender preferences regarding the matter. Sociopathy comes in all sizes.
